Professor Stacey Berk (oboe) performs as principal oboist with the Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra. In addition to leading the oboe studio at UW-Stevens Point, she enjoys teaching a variety of music courses. She is also an active composer and her humorous double reed ensembles are played throughout the U.S. and abroad.
Dr. Andrea Splittberger-Rosen (clarinet) is an experienced teacher of clarinetists of all ages and levels. She performs regularly as a solo and chamber music recitalist playing an array of clarinets, including a 6-key classical period replica.
Dr. Patricia Holland (bassoon) performs as principal bassoonist with the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra as well as with various summer festivals. In addition to teaching, Dr. Holland currently serves as Chair of the Department of Music at UW-Stevens Point.
Professor David Hastings (saxophone), equally at home with classical as well as jazz saxophone, performs frequently in a variety of settings ranging from the Voyageur Saxophone Quartet to the solo stage to his newly founded jazz series at the Scarabocchio Art Museum.
Dr. Tara Schwab performs as principal flutist with the Central Wisconsin Symphony and tours internationally with her flute and guitar duo, Duo Amantis.* This year Dr. Schwab will not be available at Woodwind Workshops Day, but will be hosting the annual Wisconsin Flute Festival at UW-Stevens Point on Saturday, March 5, 2016. UW-Stevens Point is a special place for music students. We are large enough to offer a wide variety of experiences and challenges, and small enough that our students receive a great deal of individual attention. The atmosphere is filled with support, encouragement and music!
