INTRODUCTION
Malaysia Furniture Industry (MFI)• From 1978, Malaysian Furniture
Industry has grown rapidly to produce product.
• Over the years, the MFI has undergone dynamic transformation from a traditional cottage operation to a technological driven industry.

Wood JointingJoinery is an important part in wood
working. It involves a process whereby the pieces of wood are joined together to produce more complex structural items.
Wood joints employ, adhesives, while others use only wood elements.
Strength properties of wood joinery derive from the properties of the joining materials and from how they are being used
Problem StatementIn recent years, furniture making
industry is growing at an alarming rate.
Furniture manufacturing will not be able to meet the demand and the market due to the shortage of timber resources.
The price for solid timber will increase and this is not good for the future of the furniture industry.
Objective To design a dining table with
higher strength properties using wood joint
To introduce variety of wood joint in furniture
