The 6 Step Floor Sanding Process

Ensure that the area to be restored is cleared of

all furniture and anything that may be damaged during the

sanding process

Complete any necessary repairs to the wooden boards; fix down loose

boards and hammer down any protruding nails

Complete the sanding process; start in the

corner of the room and work up and down. Keep

the sander moving!

Sand with the edger; this is notoriously

challenging to control. Use a side-to-side motion

Fill any existing holes with a latex wood filler.

This works to fill any holes or scratches and

needs to be applied liberally

Finish the wood floor; apply a wood stain, if

required and then apply your chosen wood finish. Leave your wood floor to

fully dry!
