PRAY For the safety of those affected by the storm. For the

safety of first responders and others working with survivors.

For the safety of UMC Early Response Teams and other volunteers helping with clean-up efforts.

Be patient; be ready While only specially trained Early Response Teams are

working now, we will need volunteers of all ability levels in the coming weeks and months.

If early indications hold true, recovery could take years, so the need for volunteers will not go away any time soon.

VOLUNTEER FOR LONG-TERM RECOVERY Whether you can help for a couple of days or a week. Whether you have an experienced team or you want to

come alone and work alongside new friends. Whether you are young or old, experienced or not. Your time and talents are needed to help the hundreds of

South Carolina families still trying to recover from the 2015 floods and Hurricane Matthew in 2016.

Disaster Recovery Ministries of the South Carolina Conference has opportunities now for teams of volunteers and individuals to work on these long-term recovery efforts.

To volunteer or for more information, contact Ward Smith at 803-726-3105 or [email protected].

DONATE MONEY TO S.C. DISASTER RESPONSE Donations can be made to FUMC or:

SC Conference of the UMC SC Disaster Response

Or donate digitally: www.umcsc.org/data/disasterresponsedonation.php

Over the coming weeks FUMC will have

volunteer opportunities. Examples

include: flood bucket distribution, fill-ins

on Wonderful Wednesdays or other flood

relief efforts for church family and

community. Please let us know of your
