GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College claimed its third con-secutive team championship at the Tom Barry Invitational with a balanced showing at Colburn Park.

The Green Knights totaled 58 points to top second-place

St. Norbert Alumni by nine points. The College of St. Scholastica was third with 79 points, while Ripon Col-lege was fourth with 113 points. St. Scholastica’s Chel-sea Johnson won the 5,000-meter event with a time of 18 minutes 39 seconds.

Elvia Martinez was St. Norbert’s top finisher, placing fifth with a time of 19:41. Hannah Andrekus was sixth in 19:52, while Charlotte Walsh was eighth in 20:05.

Amanda Whipple placed 17th with a time of 20:44, and Erika Quinn finished 22nd in 20:52.

Lauren James was 24th in 20:55, and Erin McShea was 29th in 21:18 to close out the Green Knights’ top seven.

GREEN BAY - Logan Jadin claimed the individual championship of the St. Norbert Col-lege Tom Barry Invita-tional, leading the Green Knights to the team title at Colburn Park.

The Green Knights totaled 33 points, easily outdistancing runner-up Lawrence University’s 64 points. The College of St. Scholastica and the St. Norbert College Alumni were tied for third with 101 points.

Jadin covered the 4-mile course in a time of 21 minutes 6.6 seconds to claim his first Tom Barry title. Lawrence’s Sam Stevens was seven seconds behind Jadin in second place.

Nathan Heppe finished in fourth place overall for St. Norbert in 21:23, while Michael Heise was sixth in 21:29. Brady Bemis turned in a ninth-place showing in 21:37, while Hayden Hoffmann was 13th in 21:49.

Heath Hougas was 18th in 22:03, while Benny Swift’s 19th-place time of 22:04 closed out the Green Knights’ scorers.

Over 40 SNC Alumni were on hand to take part in the 2012 Tom Barry Invitational this past weekend. It was a successful meet and as always, some delicious food at the Feldhausen’s after the race to celebrate the life of former SNC runner and coach ~ Tom Barry.

Jenny Scherer returned home for her first TBI and edged Trisha Feldhausen for the top female alumni hon-ors. This snapped an 8 year win streak for Feldausen and keeps her tied with Nancy Gritt for the most alumni titles ever. On the men’s side, Alex DeVillers earned the top spot for the alumni- his first time leading the pack!
