Adopt a Family is now on…….. Many thanks to those families that have supported the ‘Adopt a Family’ Christmas hamper to date. We will accept items up until the 15th December so there is still plenty of time to stuff their stockings with some Chrissy cheer.
Every year the appeal brightens the lives of many local families facing adversity at Christmas time. Nominated by local charities, the families involved face financial hardship or social dislocation. This year we will be supporting a local family; a single mum, 1 girl 2 years of age and 2 boys aged 4 & 7.
A bag has been placed in the School Office foyer. We are accepting non-perishable food items and new gifts that can be given to each of the family members so that we can make up a Christmas hamper for the family. Any support you can provide will be gratefully appreciated.
REMEMBER CLOSING DATE IS NOW THE 15th DECEMBER
Picnic Day The P&C would like to wish all the students of Wollongbar Public School a very merry
Christmas by shouting lunch on Picnic Day. P&C will cover the costs of the sandwiches organised for the Stage 1 students and will provide a sausage sizzle for Stage 2 & 3. All students will receive an ice block, courtesy of the P&C Canteen Committee.
Christmas Raffle Our last fund raising adventure for this year will be the end of year raffle. Some great prizes are up for grabs. Don’t forget to buy your tickets at the School concerts and tickets will also be on sale at the Alstonville Christmas Markets. Winners will be drawn on the 16th December.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a
very merry Christmas and all the best for 2012
