We are getting ready for the Fall Festival which will be held on Friday, Oct. 6th from 10:00am-6:00pm here at the church. There will be bean soup, vegeta-ble soup, potato soup, and chicken noodle soup by the quart and the half gallon. There will also be a bake sale, flea market and craft table. Lunch can be eaten in or carried out. November 17th will be our Thanksgiving Dinner here at the church. Our Food Distribution Families will also be invited. This will be a covered dish dinner. Dec. 6th will be our covered dish dinner for the UMW and the UMM at 6:00pm. Our Christmas Teddy Bear collection will begin on Nov. 26th and run through Dec. 22nd. Please bring a medium sized bear to the church to be given to a shut in. This does brighten their day. We will also hand out fruit baskets or poinsettias to shut ins.

On Oct. 6, 2017, the UMM and the UMW will hold the Fall Festival. We will be taking orders for bean soup, vegetable soup, potato soup, and chicken noodle soup and food will be served. There will also be take out orders available. The UMM meeting will be on Oct. 4, 2017 at 7:00am. On Friday, Nov. 17th at 6:00pm we will have a covered dish Thanksgiving Dinner. The Good Samaritan Food Dis-tribution families will be invited. The UMM meeting for November will be Nov. 1, 2017 at 7:00pm. We will be making plans for Breakfast with Santa, which will be held on Dec. 2, 2017 from 9:00am-11:00am. We will look for you there. Bible Studies for October will be on Oct. 14th and Oct. 28th at 8:00am. Everyone is invited. Bible Studies for No-vember will be held on Nov. 11th and Nov. 25th at 8:00am. You are invited.

Get ready Kevin, it’s almost time to jump in the leaves. Our Thanksgiving Praise Tree and the Turkey Fund go hand in hand. Jesus told us to love our neighbors. In Romans 8: 28 it tells us “all things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose” and this is what we do at Bell Chapel in all of our activities. Each Sunday from Oct. 29th through Nov. 12th we will be collecting for our Turkey Fund. This is used to purchase the turkeys for our Food Distribution families. These will be given out during our food distribu-tion on Nov. 16th. Also during that time our Praise Tree will be up. Leaves will be provided in your bulletin. Let’s light up our tree with Praises to God for all the blessings we have been given.

We at Bell Chapel are currently serving 55 families with our food pantry.

Within these families are numerous children. Beginning Sunday, Nov. 12th there will be two sign up sheets on

the welcome center desk— a gift list and a food list. If you would like to help with our Christmas project just sign whichever, or both lists.

The Good Samaritan Committee will be meeting on Dec. 1st to make the lists of what is needed. Slips will be passed out on Sunday, Dec. 3rd.

Items can be brought to the church Sunday, Dec. 10th or by Wednesday Dec. 13th before 12:00pm. Gifts will be given out with the Food Distribution on Thursday, Dec. 14th.
