A struggle that takes place in a t mind is called internal conflict.
A character dealing with his or her own mixed feelings or emotions.
External conflictAn external conflict is between a character and an outside force!

A character struggles with another character, for example: Antagonist
vs. protagonist.
Man vs. nature
A character struggles in
order to survive,
against a nature force.

The character fights against the society where he or she lives, for
example: against social traditions or social rules.
