COLOMBIAdestination Fascination:

Colombia is one of the most biologically diverse countries on Earth, with 340 different types of ecosystems contained within its borders. Colombia is also the nation with the highest number of different animal species by area, including 1,879 bird species – more than Europe and North America combined!

The citizens of Bogotá – Colombia's capital city – enjoy a weekly public event called Ciclovía. For seven hours each Sunday, 75 miles worth of city roads are closed to auto traffic, rendering the streets wide open for bike rides. Bogotans also take advantage of their car-free streets by skating, jogging, walking, or just socializing.

Colombia's most popular sport is soccer, but the traditional national pastime is a game called Tejo. It involves tossing a palm-sized metal puck onto a platform with the goal of hitting a ring-shaped target. To add extra excitement, the platforms are scattered with gunpowder-filled pouches that explode upon contact with the puck. Needless to say, Tejo can get pretty loud!

Fortunately, we've got plenty of helpful tips for your customers to keep their data usage under control while still enjoying today's most popular social media apps. Read on, and help your customers conserve! (Before beginning, make sure all apps are fully updated – otherwise, these tips may not work.)

Videos on Instagram load automatically so they can begin playing quickly. Since this function can use up quite a bit of data, Instagram includes a "Use Less Data" mode that allows disabling of the video pre-loading function.

A very easy way to save data on Twitter is to turn off "Image Previews." This means that all images in a feed will be replaced with clickable links, allowing the user to personally select which images they'll see. Not only will turning off image previews save data – it'll also save time by reducing the need to scroll.

Disabling Facebook's "Auto Play" feature will save a huge amount of data by preventing videos from playing automatically in a newsfeed. Another Facebook setting to be aware of is Photo Syncing: When a customer takes a picture on their phone, this function automatically saves the photo directly to Facebook, which can use large amounts of data quickly. If they'd rather not spend any data on either of these Facebook features, they may be switched off, or only used when a Wi-Fi connection is available.

Rob reminded me that my sweet spot is a place where there is high innovation and autonomy, which led
