In fact, overuse of bleach can be harmful because it is not safe to consume. To create a sani- tizing solution it is recommended that you use 1 tablespoon of unscented liquid bleach per gallon of water. Flood the countertop with the solution, allow it to sit for a few minutes, then pat with clean, dry paper towels or allow to air dry. Why have training? In De-

Inc. was established. The food

pantry opened its doors the

following September. Last

month marked seven years of operation. Capturing the history and examining our mission, the

Grace Center board relayed the passion and purpose of the pantry to our volunteers. The train-

ing also informed the volunteers of the requirements that must be fulfilled. Other information

given included: our Hoosier Hills Food Bank membership, donations, USDA distributions, eligibil-

ity guidelines, Civil Rights, and the always important record keeping.

I appreciate our volunteers and they need to be equipped with the right information to per-

form their roles. They take time out of their busy schedules to serve others with compassion

and without discrimination, bias or judgment. It's not for everyone. But our volunteers shine

bright. Be sure to thank them for all they do. Grace Center can't exist without our wonderful

volunteers. Steve Fichtner, President of Grace Center Inc.
