The mission of the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council is to create and share knowledge on efficiency, innovation and competitiveness. Together, these constitute the business case for “sustainability”.

Annual Conference The Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council Conference takes place each December and has become the largest business sustainability event in the state. Speakers come from Wisconsin businesses and talk about actual practices they have adopted or strategies they have employed. By bringing people together to learn and network, the conference is able to increase the adoption of sustainable practices in the Wisconsin business community.

Educational Resources The Council has assembled the best sustainability resources, including white papers, case studies, and current research on business strategies.

University of Wisconsin - Madison The Wisconsin School of Business is a partner and sponsor of the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council. Students from the University of Wisconsin plan the annual conference, oversee the Green Masters Program and develop the annual Wisconsin Sustainability Report.

Green Masters Program The Green Masters Program is a free, objective, points-based recognition program, which allows any sized business from any part of the state to be publicly recognized for their sustainability efforts.

The Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council is an organization for businesses interested in performance improvement, innovation and competitive advantage. The Council is governed by 12 advisors who represent a broad cross-section of Wisconsin businesses.

As thought leaders, the Council’s advisors direct educational and program offerings for the Wisconsin business community. The Council provides free web-accessible resources on measuring, reporting, branding and engaging employees.
