ANKARA is mixture of low-rise buildings and at the same time new high-rise towers. As it has been a developing city, the needs of people require taller buildings which transform the city silhouette and therefore change the former scale of the city.
The abrupt change occuring with the introduction of taller buildings to the city alters the perception of people about their environment. The relationship between the high towers and the preexisting buildings which are more humanist in terms of scale cannot be obtained.
The transformation is not only perceptional but also cultural the confusion of scale caused by the disconnection betweenbuildings of different heights transforms also the lifestyle of theinhabitants of Ankara
The installation is located on water which provides a non-context where people canexperience the different scales. The installation stands as isolated from thecity. Diverse pieces of the installation represent the different urban interiors;therefore it provides a spatial and perceptional experience
