` Supporting our vision to better educate more children the school hasimplemented Scoring Scales in place of traditional grading practices. TheScoring Scales are a measurement tool used by teachers to understand howwell students are progressing towards our curriculums learning goals(Educational Objectives). Scoring Scales clearly illustrate your childs progressand reduce subjectivity as each teacher is grading on the same scales. The

basic scoring scales are based on the following criteria:

` 1.0 Your child understands basic skills when given assistance

` 2.0 Your child understands basic skills and processes

` 3.0 Your child has mastered the subject matter

` 4.0 Your child has an exceptional understanding of a topic and exceededexpectations

` We strongly encourage you to visit http://nha-sharing.ning.com/ for moredetailed information related to Scoring Scales.

` This exact paper is also in the back for you to take home tonight!!!
