Power-Gen simply wouldn't be the same without a fabulous party thrown by IIR, and this year's "Best of Vegas" party may have topped all previous years--which says a lot! CEO Ed Lewis was told that this was one of the top events ever hosted at XS Nightclub! A representative from Mammoet called the event “the highlight of our week,” and cited a staff member who said “this event is easily one of the
top five they’ve held!” This was the first year that Industrial Info hosted a party with corporate sponsorships. In total, six sponsors were pleased to contribute, including Platinum sponsors Crane and ABB. “I had several prospects reach out to me to thank us for the great time they had at the party,” Ramos said. “None of their vendors have ever done anything like this for them.”

This year, the Industrial Info company meeting for Sugar
Land was held on December 15 at the Marriott Hotel. Ed
Lewis took the opportunity to emphasize the shared values
that have kept the company so strong for so long.
“I was able to attract good people along the way who
became connected to the vision, and because of that, we are
still succeeding together,” Mr. Lewis said.
He also emphasized that recognition builds self-esteem
and personal gratification. It also inspires others to up their
game. Having a corporate meeting provides the right “As
One” environment to be better connected with co-workers.

Bright Lights, Big Parties Abroad
The end of the year saw a flurry
of celebrations at IIR’s offices
around the world. During India’s
cherished Diwali, or “festival of
lights,” the Delhi team enjoyed a
hike through a national park south
of the Himalayas.
Their excitement was matched
by the offices in Perth, Australia,
and the Philippines, where families
were invited to play games and
swap presents.

office space in Galway, Ireland, which serves as the company’s European headquarters, and
expects to double its work force there over the next five years.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony in July was attended by IIR Chief Executive Officer Ed
Lewis; IIR European President Nicola Lynch; Ged Nash, Ireland's Minister for Business &
Employment; and Mayor of Galway Frank Fahy, among others. Nash said: "In a very short
period of time--and in the teeth of a global recession of a type that we haven't seen in quite
a long time--this company has managed to go from strength to strength."

Employee Spotlight on
Emilia Vera
Supervisor, Oil & Gas Industry
Industrial Info Latinoamerica
Prior to joining Industrial Info Latinoamerica in 2009, Emilia worked for four years as
a customer care representative and in the human resources department at a call
center.
While working for a year in Industrial Info’s email verification team, she earned a
degree as a primary school teacher. By mid-2009, Emilia had joined the Oil & Gas
team. Since then, she has offered invaluable support to the Cordoba office by
helping to build the database, and selecting and training new members.
Her excellent people skills, dedication and responsibility positioned Emilia to
become Supervisor for Industrial Info Latinoamerica’s Oil & Gas team in 2012.
Emilia credits Research Director Soledad Gandara with helping her fulfill her
potential at the Cordoba office: “I learned a lot from her, and I continue to learn
from Leonor Caminos, the Oil & Gas Industry Manager.”
Emilia is now responsible for maintaining and adding information from the region,
and keeping standards high. Last year, she became the mother of her first son, Leon,
and also earned a degree as a technician in English translation.
“I have witnessed the growth of the office for the six years I’ve been here,” Emilia
said. “It is distinguished by the teamwork and its human warmth, which makes me
eager to keep working at Industrial Info, and also provides me challenging,
meaningful and rewarding opportunities for personal and professional growth.”
