Many of Bonner’s landscape enhancements take their cues from the surrounding environment, including fl ora and fauna.

The Golden Sun Moth (Synemon plana) was once relatively widespread in native grasslands of south-eastern Australia but is now reduced to a handful of locations in the ACT, NSW and Victoria.

This endangered moth has been featured in Bonner’s open spaces to highlight its unique link to the area.

Find out more about the Golden Sun Moth here:www.environment.act.gov.au/cpr/conservation _and_ecological_communities/information_on_action _plans/factsheet_7

THE GOLDEN SUN MOTH

Most of us would call it the ‘nature strip’ - the area in front of your house located between the footpath and the road. Each household is responsible for the maintenance of their own verge, as an extension of your garden.

A quick mow (while doing the rest of your lawn) will ensure Bonner is at its beautiful best all year round! If you want to take it one step further and enhance your verge with plants or landscaping, fi nd out how to apply for TAMS approval here:
