community service in the used motor vehicle industry.Myers was one of 23 dealers from across the country tobe nominated for the National Quality Dealer award. Northwood University in Michigan provided a panel ofjudges to evaluate all the entries and select the winner. The long-standing tradition of naming an NIADA NationalQuality Dealer began 30 years ago in 1976.Following the “Gut”

Much of the recent success of the dealership can beattributed to Tracy’s insight and dedication to monitoringindustry trends. In 1999 Tracy acted on a “gut” instinctthat led him to establish a website and an internet salesdepartment. “It was one of the toughest businessdecisions I ever had to make,” explains Tracy. “Back in1999 you just couldn’t make the numbers work. I foughtmany hard battles to keep it open because I looked atthe department as a future investment.” An investment,indeed it was. The foundation for the dealership waslaid more than 80 years ago by Tracy’s great grandfatherwho owned and operated a general store in thecommunity that was known for a high level of customerservice. The tradition continued when his fatherestablished the dealership. Tracy’s investment in thetechnology and potential of the internet has proven to bea strategy that enables him to continue the legacy ofproviding quality products and quality service to driveand keep quality customers.
