Sub: Quotation in sealed cover are invited to undertake service for providing "Breakfast, Lunch andHigh Tea for 08/07/19 to 12/07/19", with duly filled in "Annexure AU(Commercial/Financial Bid) withthe following Details.

Sir,

1. Sealed quotations are invited to undertake service for providing "Breakfast, Lunch and High Teafor 08/07/19 to 12/07/19", for Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad as per listattached/given overleaf.

2. The sealed quotation mentioning Ref. No. GTU/Pur/lnq/Food/2019/ "Sealed quotations areinvited to undertake service for providing "Breakfast, Lunch and High Tea for 08/07/19 to12/07/19", must be reached to the University during office hours (10.30 a.m. to 6.10 p.m.) on orbefore 03/07/2019.

3. Mentioned requirement is for 05 days (Five days) only i.e 08/07/19 to 12/07/194. All the items must be send and serve at GTU Boys Hostel, Chandkheda, Ahmedabad.5. Tenderer has to fill details in Annexure - A for financial bid.

6. Contractor shall be required to submit security deposit of 5% of total order value in form of DDwhich will be refunded on expiry of contract.

7. Rates quoted will remain valid for six months and no increase will be granted during that period.8. Menu as per specification order has to be finalized with mutual concern of University atleast 2

days before the date of service provided.

9. GTU shall neither provide any consumable or non-consumable items including raw materials forthe purpose of catering nor shall provide any utensils, equipment, crockery, cutlery etc.

10.The quality and quantity of food will be inspected item wise by catering committee / GTUauthorized officials will frequently visit and the tenderer shall not deny access to such inspections.

l1.The catering tenderer shall ensure high standard of cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation whiledelivering/serving food items. Adequate numbers of dustbins shall be provided by the tenderer toensure proper disposal of garbage at the place of supply of food. There should not be any litteringof unused food or any other articles within the premises.

12.The tenderer shall ensure that the food is stored and handled properly and no stale food is served.In case of any food poisoning, the tenderer shall be held solely responsible and will be penalizedbesides legal action by the Competent Authority.

13.·The supplied food can be checked by GTU officials at any time and if substandard / unauthorizedmaterial is found, the tenderer shall be penalized at the discretion of GTU and tenderer shall haveto abide by it.

14.The catering staff engaged by the Tenderer shall: (a) Show professional courteous behavior at alltimes, (b) Catering staff will not smoke bidis, cigarettes or take alcoholic drinks on thecampus/venue and nor they are allowed to chew pan, gutka, tobacco items etc.

IS.As regards quality of materials and preparation, the tenderer shall ensure that: (a)Food ingredients,additives and materials must be of best quality available in the market, (b) Vegetables, bread, fruits,

and other such perishable items should be purchasedfresh from the market on daily basis,(c) theTenderer shall take meticulous care to provide clean, fresh and quality food in all preparations.

i6.The Tenderer shall ensure that the staff engagedby him observes safety precautions and securityregulations at the campus/venue.

i7.The Tenderer and his staff shall abide by various rules and regulations of GTUas prevalent from

time to time.lS.The Tenderer and his staff shall comply with all instructions and directions of the GTUauthorities

given from time to time. In the event of any emergent situation, the staff of the Tenderer shallcomply with instructions given by the GTU authorities, without waiting for confirmation by the

Tenderer.i9.lf required University may send officer(s) to visit the site of all or selected tenderer for testing of

taste & quality of food and only the tenderers recommended, will be considered for opening ofcommercial Bid.

20.The rates must be quoted inclusive of all Taxes, GST& charges, servicing at GTU Boys Hostel,Chandkheda,Ahmedabad.

21.Bidders are requested to quote rates as per format mentioned in "Annexure A", if any bidder failsto do the same then his bid will be rejected. The rates shall be quoted both in figures and wordsand should be signed by the authorized signatory.

22.The incomplete and conditional bids will be rejected Quoting unrealistic rates will be treated asdisqualification.

23.lf any of the terms or conditions provided herein or any direction(s) issued by the University is not·compliedwith or contractor is found to have committed any breach thereof, the University will beat liberty to terminate the Contract.

24.The University reserves the right to reject any or all quotations without assigningany reasons.25.Judicialjurisdiction of all the dispute will be Ahmedabad (Gujarat) only.
