The things we thinkare little can be thebiggest blessings.

Some of my Texas sup-porters sent me homethis Christmas with 2soccer balls. When Ireached Kinyiba wecleared a small field.

That first day Sokiriand Chandiga kickedthe ball around andthen Moi came. Thatshow it started.

The next evening wehad 16 boys come to

play. Now, 3 times aweek, we have theboys here. The olderones let the young onesplay and then givesome pointers beforeturning the field into adusty show.

What an opportunity this hasbeen to share the love of Jesus. We always let them know theyare welcome and they are re-sponding.

I am asked by people here and there, when are theprograms starting and I always respond, we do min-istry every day. I am so thankful that our Fathermakes it clear to me what it is we should be doing.Right now we are in start-up: building relationships, language skills and buildings, meeting all the govern-ment requirements, but mostly, bringing health andhope, person by person, as we share the love of Jesus.

Completed State level NGO registration, March 2012

Given land in Kinyiba, April 2012

    Bought Ministry truck, April 2012

Broke ground for 1st buildings, June 2012

Construction 80% done, LIGHTS ON!, October 2012

    Moved onto compound, October 2012

    Started Bible studies, October 2012

Sponsoring 2 girls in School, October 2012

Acquired Tax Exempt status, November 2012

Trained Brendah in CHE, Nov & Dec 2012

    Started Moringa Nursery, November 2012

Started bricklaying for Team/Staff Dorm, Jan 2013

the work makesthe women, kids andsometimes even themen giggle.

A couple of times aweek I travel the 18kilometers to the bigtown of Wudu. Its niceto eat at the best place intown, Roses. Tradition-

ally, eating with thehands is the acceptable

way. When in RomeThe new Honda that a supporter

purchased is here, locked on thecompound. It has not cleared yet andthey are making us start all over withthe tax-exempt process. A bribe wouldspeed this through but our Fatherforbids me to do that. The India-made,street bike is not safe on these roads butwe are thankful to have it. I laid it downin the gravel this day but was not hurt.

This day my Fathertold me it was ok to eatthe food offered by theworkers. For such alittle drumstick, it wasvery tasty. I preferpork or beef!

We often meetunder the teak tree. The meeting below

was to question a boy seen steal-ing the small solar panel fromour garage roof. He never admit-ted his crime but due to wit-

nesses and his prior history oftheft, the chief ordered he take 20strokes from a cane.

    My favorite part, the children!

They teach me somuch. I cant waitto see them becausemy heart soarswhen they comearound. They donteven know they arepoor, thirsty andnaked. Praise God!

While no day istypical, somethings are con-sistent. Even if Iam fasting, everyone needsto eat. We arecooking oncharcoal untilthe wood

    burning rocketstove is built.

We share the kitchen tasksbetween Brendah, our nurse,Chandiga, our driver andtranslator and me. Chandigamakes the best rice, Momma doesgood beans and we all share ingetting water from the nearbywell. We have 7 more mouths tofeed, 5 days a week with 4 menlaying bricks and 3 women thatcarry water for brick laying.

Then there are always the dropins. When people visit, it is

customary to givethem tea andsomething smallto eat. When notprepared, we runto town for warmsoda and milkbiscuits. Thesehungry, sick

children lost their fear of my whiteskin after I gave them milk biscuits

and we treated their eye infectionsand colds. Now the mom is bringingthem 3x/day and between my lim-ited KuKu and Brendahs Arabic we

    manage tocommunicate.

When I mworking on thetruck, its aspectator sport. Itis the first truck tolive here and tosee a woman do
