Lush aromas of ripe peach, apricot and pineapple cascade from the glass, chased by hints of

intense, complex flavours of fresh fruit and caramel that continue into a long, lingering finish.

(52% Pinot Noir, 22% Pinot Meunier & 26% Chardonnay)
Intense, lively and fresh intensity of Pinot Noir. Characterized by a luminous, pale salmon pink.
On the nose it has notes of toasted bread, red fruit, cherry jam, and subtle, gourmet notes of
vanilla and caramel. With a smoothness and roundness coming from the liqueur de dosage.
MUMM DEMI SEC 1050
(60% Pinot Meunier,30% Pinot Noir & 10% Chardonnay)
The nose reveals aromas of peach and pear jam, nougat and fruit jelly with fragrances of honey
and gingerbread, developing into notes of dried fruit. The bouquet develops patisserie (vanilla,
brioche and honey) and toasted notes. Very round, smooth and sweet with hints of honey candy.

An iconic champagne. Created in 1869, it embodies the unique Moët & Chandon style. Golden

A bright, full-styled Chenin with a tropical fruit-salad palate and green apple flavours. A very
good length and body for this vintage and, as it's bottled under screw cap, will preserve its
freshness and verve for a good few years to come.

crucial in creating the perfect environment to grow Sauvignon Blanc, renowned for its abundant
and lingering tropical fruit flavours and balanced freshness.

This single vineyard originates from the rockiest soil on the estate, with resultant struggling
vines and huge concentration. Brilliant greenish in appearance, this is a dramatic wine full of

This elegant Chardonnay has a delicate balance of fruit flavours and a light touch of oak.

with a hint of vanilla spice. The light touch of oaking complements the fruit without being
overpowering.

Darkish Burgundian purple. Spicy wood notes, rich plum and berry fruit, with typical restrained
‘fynbos’ aromatic notes. Dry, soft fruit-encased tannins follow spicy fruit-sweet entry,
understated and balanced, medium-bodied with a nice spicy length.
KWV THE MENTORS 630
Grapes from Darling, expertise from those clever people at KWV Paarl and oak from France
result in this modern style, totally delicious wine. With slightly spicy nose like cloves and darkly
intense red fruits leads to a long and lingering finish. It goes swimmingly with a slow-roasted
pork belly.

chocolate aromas on the nose and black and red berry intensity on the palate. Rich, subtle oak
flavours provide this wine with a long, full finish.

This generous and vibrant Merlot shows upfront aromas of plum, mulberry and fruit cake with

The wine is full-bodied and reflects a fusion of the best red varieties on Steenberg: the dark
earthy tones of Cabernet, the fresh minty character of Merlot and the perfume notes of
Cabernet Franc. Beautiful notes of dark cherries and spice lead the nose with a subtle hint of
aniseed. A complex but elegant structure, with hints of vanilla and cedar oak.

The wines were made separately & were aged in 1st, 2nd & 3rd fill French Oak barrels for 12
months. Pencil shavings, liquorice and sweet tobacco with mulberry and dark cherry chocolate
on the nose. A balanced fusion of dark red berry and chocolate flavours with a soft mouthfeel
and juicy, lingering finish.
THUNDERCHILD 265
(Merlot, Cabernet Franc & Cabernet Sauvignon)
Robertson
This classical blend was created by using the ancient technique of fermenting uncrushed berries
with native yeast from grapes. After aging for one year in French barrels, it was bottled without
finings or filtration.
In 1918 after the Great Flu Epidemic, Die Herberg orphanage was built by the
Robertson Community. In 2003 a few vines were planted on the grounds by the
community. Thunderchild blend is made for free by local wineries as part of their
contribution to Die Herberg. 100% of the profit of Thunderchild sales are donated to
the orphanage in support for the education of the children.
