Welcome Back
We are excited to have welcomed
Year 1 pupils back to school this
week.
All pupils have worked very hard at
maintaining social distancing and
seem to have settled back well,
even though a lot is different from
when they were last in school in
March.
Teachers and pupils were all really
pleased to see other.
We hope you will enjoy seeing
more of the activities pupils have
being trying out during lockdown.
Windrush Day 2020 Join in and raise your voice in unity this Windrush Day
At 10:27am on Monday 22 June you are called on to join together as one to celebrate the Windrush Generation with a special version of a universally loved song in their honour.
The time of 10:27am represents the arrival of 1,027 people on the original Empire Windrush.
For more information about the event follow the link:
Song for Windrush
A specially recorded version of a song everyone knows and loves will be revealed on Monday 15 June.
Then at 10:27am across Lambeth – the song will play on local radio stations, from homes, shops, cars, and be even louder as we sing – for 90 seconds we’ll all come together.
Keep your eyes peeled here and on social media as we build up to reveal the song!

Joshua (2SF) made this rainbow over ten weeks ago. Since
lockdown it has been on his front window just to show love, thanks
prayers and support for all the NHS staff and care workers,
especially for his Auntie Michelle Gibbs who is a nurse and works
at City Hospital in ICU in Birmingham.
Auntie Michelle is Joshua’s super hero along with her work
colleagues who are putting their lives on the front line to fight
against Coronavirus around the world.

Can we use colours instead of
symbols?
We can try this with digits, the
symbols we use for
numbers. Instead of digits 0, 1, 2 etc.
we have some calculations with only
colours that will test your
understanding of arithmetical
techniques.
See if you can figure out ways to
make the calculation work.
