This is the newest issue of AdDuplex Windows Phone Statistics Report.

Find out what movements were spotted between WP devices worldwide and in various

countries during September, 2014. We have combined statistics to several units in European

countries this month so you can compare what are the differences in separate regions.

Data Source

This report is based on data collected from 4,528 Windows Phone apps running

AdDuplex SDK v.2. The raw data analyzed was collected over the day of September

24th, 2014 (UTC time) unless otherwise stated.

We have made every attempt to consolidate different reported phone model names

under their canonical retail model names, but it is possible that some of the rare

model name variations were not accounted for.

AdDuplex is the largest cross-promotion network for Windows Phone and Windows

Store apps empowering developers and publishers to promote their apps for free by

helping each other. AdDuplex was established in January 2011 in Vilnius, Lithuania.

As of September 2014, more than 8,500 apps actively use AdDuplex to gain more

visibility.

Lumia 630 gets all the

attention in the worldwide

chart this month. It made its

first step to TOP-10 in August

and it jumped to 4th position

with 5.4% of the market so far.

It would be #2 if we combined

it with Lumia 635.

Lumia 521 also made quite

noticeable movement. It

gained 1.5% and moved from

#7 to #5. It is quite interesting

because it was decreasing for

last couple of months.

And Lumia 820 is back to the

TOP-10 again while Lumia

800 was displaced from #8

position.

Nokia is still taking bigger

and bigger part of Windows

Phone market worldwide. It

has 95.14% this month.

HTC, Samsung and

Huawei have lost a bit

since August.

We are finally seeing some

meaningful numbers from

all the new OEMs (in

“Other”). The top 2 so far

are Prestigio and

Micromax.

WP 8.1 gained 14.7% of

the market during this

month. It seems inevitable

that it will overstep 8.0

next month.

Lumia 630 has made a step

forward and is at #3 now

with 9.7% of the WP market

in US.

Moreover Lumia 635 is also

in the TOP chart this month.

It occupies #9 position with

3.3%.

While looking below the

TOP-10 we’ve noticed HTC

One (M8) moving up. It

managed to step to #26

from #40 during the month.

Windows Phone 8.x Operators – US September 24th, AdDuplex

This month was critical for

Verizon. Cricket managed to

gain 4.7% of the market and

bypassed Verizon. So

Cricket is now #3 carrier in

the US. And it falls behind

T-Mobile by only 5.6%.

Furthermore AT&T and T-

Mobile lost their share since

last month.

countries in a bit different

way this time. So this is

how EU5 looks all

together.

Lumia 630 has captured

the #3 spot with 6.6%.

Combined together with

Lumia 635, which is #8, it

would be #2 in the 5

biggest European

markets.

Windows Phone Devices – Scandinavia (Sweden, Norway, Denmark)


TOP-10 situation in Scandinavia differs comparing it with worldwide chart. We see more higher end devices here.

Lumia 920 is #1 with 20.7% of the WP market.

Lumia 925 and Lumia 1020 are also in upper positions. They hold #3 and #4 positions respectively.

And Lumia 930 is already in 7th position with 5.9% of the Scandinavian WP market.

in India. It is relatively low

for a market that once

championed the rise of

Lumia 520.

since we last covered it in

May:

• Lumia 630 is in 4th

position with 5.2%.

• Lumia 625 bypassed

• Lumia 925 outran

Lumia 920 and is in 8th

position in September.
