Energy Plus – a Market Leader in Energy SavingsThe UnikFunkis designed Energy Plus window meets the energy requirements expected to be posed by the Danish construction industry by 2020.

Energy Plus has a traditional frame for mounting in a brick wall opening.The windows are made of wood and aluminum, with triple panes and warm edge spacers to minimize heat loss. All designs and models have a frame depth of 140 mm. Energy Plus is available with built-in blinds.

WINDOW AND DOOR FRAMESEnergy-efficient designs meeting the latest requirementsTraditional Wood Windows or Wood/Aluminum FramesYou may prefer traditional wood windows in mahogany or pine. However, combining wood and aluminum to make window and door frames gives many advantages. Inside, the windows and doors look just like conventional wood win-dows. Externally, the UnikFunkis products look like the traditional wood windows and doors, but the casing and frame surfaces are made of aluminum. The wood and the aluminum are assembled using insulating material in the frame, thus providing excellent insulation. The windows come with double or triple panes.

The aluminum frame surfaces provide effective protection of the underlying wood that has been primed and surface treated in the same way as other wood elements from UnikFunkis. In addition, they offer the advantage of a minimum of maintenance. They would only require cleaning when the windows are being washed anyway. The aluminum surfaces are powder coated and are available in nine standard colors. Custom colors are available on request.

In the past, it was hard to miss the difference between the appearance of doors and that of windows. Now, it’s possible to streamline the appearance of a facade by us-ing narrow frames for both – without giving up on functional quality and with new benefits. As an example, doors come with a brand new hinge design and a treshold that is flush with the floor. The elements are easy to install and come with 2 or 3 panes. The narrow frame and the larger glass area helps improve energy efficiency.

The narrow frame windows come in single and double door designs, and the doors are available as outwards going and folding doors. The number of folds is tailored to the building in order to achieve an architecturally perfect appearance. The folding doors let you open up the entire facade to bring the outside in.
