Using Keyboard ShortcutsAdd these time-saving Windows shortcuts to your list of old favorites:

Adding or Removing a Tile from the Start Menu
Cut the clutter from your Start menu by removing tiles you dont use. Pin your favorites for quicker access.

Managing Libraries and FoldersLibraries and folders make it easy to organize and manage your documents, videos, music, and more in one handy spot.
To view or enable libraries:
1. Open File Explorer.2. On the View tab, click or tap Navigation
pane, and then select Show libraries.
To create a library:
1. On the left panel, click or tap Libraries.2. On the Home tab, in the New group, click or tap New item.
To create a new folder in a library:
1. On the left panel, click or tap Libraries, and then select the library you want to use.
3. Select Library. 4. Add a name for the library. 5. Press ENTER.
Ever made a change to a file that you wish you could undo? Turn back time with File History, a Windows feature that stores prior versions of files in an alternate location, allowing you to recover past versions.
To turn on File History:
1. Connect an external hard drive or USB drive to your computer to use as a storage location.

Using File History, click Add a drive, and then select your connected device from the list.
6. If you have already set up a drive, move the slider to On.
Using the Maps App
Want to show a client some local sights? Stay on course with the Maps app. Pin locations to your list of favorites and to your Start menu. Share a meeting location right from the Maps app.
Creating and Sharing a Voice Recording
When its easier to say it than write it, dont send a lengthy email message. Instead, send a voice recording.
To create a voice recording:
1. Click or tap the button.
2. In the applications list, select Voice Recorder.
3. Click or tap the record button .
4. Record your message.5. Click or tap the stop
button when finished.

To email a voice recording:
1. Open the Voice Recorder app.2. Select a recording from the list.3. Click or tap Share. 4. Click or tap Mail, and then select
an email account to send from.
Listen to, delete, or rename your recording.

Capturing a Screen SnipSometimes its a struggle to explain whats on your screen. Open Snipping Tool to show instead of tell.
Click or tap New to start, and then drag a box around the area.
Set a Delay of up to five seconds.
Erase unwanted marks.
Select your most used folders and pin them to the Quick Access menu.
Open your most recent folders.
2. On the Home tab, in the New group, click New folder.
3. Add a name for the folder. 4. Press ENTER.
Find the file location of the recording or adjust your settings.
Click or tap to pin to the Start menu.

To search using Cortana:
Using the Notebook
Cortana is your built-in personal assistant. Search Windows and the web, set reminders, take notes, check the news, and even send email. Activate the app by clicking the search box or by saying Hey Cortana.
Collapse the options pane. View and customize Help and tip cards.
Set up and adjust Cortana, and find meetings, reminders, and calendar entries.
Send feedback to Microsoft.
Changing Cortana SettingsGive Cortana unlimited access to your computer, email, Internet history, calendar, and files stored in the cloud. Or limit her domain! Just select
Use Cortana when your device is locked.
Have Cortana respond to Hey Cortana.
Choose what name Cortana calls you and edit your favorite locations.
Manage which accounts are connected to Cortana.
View current reminders or add new ones.

Got a lot on your plate? Set up a to-do list and let Cortana remind you. Base your reminders on time, place, or person, and get notified at the most opportune moment.
Setting a Time ReminderDont let the day pass you by. Set a reminder for specific, approximate, or recurring times to ensure important tasks dont get missed.
Setting a Place ReminderMake every trip count by setting location-specific reminders. Set a location reminder to get those flyers printed, visit a client, or check out a conference venue the next time youre in the neighborhood.
Adding a Person to a ReminderDont forget to pass that tidbit along! Have Cortana give you talking points when you use built-in apps to communicate with that coworker who needs to be in the know.

3. In the Remember to field, enter a task and select Place.
4. Choose to be reminded when you Arrive or Depart.
5. Enter a location and then select one of the suggestions.

then tap or click the add button .3. In the Remember to field, enter a task and select Time.4. Use the sliders to select an hour, a minute, and AM or PM. 5. When finished, click or tap the complete button .
To set a time reminder:

and then tap or click the add button .3. In the Remember to field, enter a task and select Person.4. Select a contact, and then click or tap Remind.
To set a person reminder:
Right-click the taskbar to change Cortanas appearance.
Search for apps or personal files.
Restrict your search to the web.
Click or tap to open the Notebook and navigate to Reminders.
Click or tap to create a new reminder.
Enter your task in the Remember to field.
Add a photo for additional information.
Base a reminder on a contact, location, or time.
