Cutting Instructions:

Fabric 4, cut:

(1) 16 ½” square

Center Block Applique: (All placement measurements are approximations- adjust if needed.)

1. Print out the Flower, Circle, Feathers and Daisy applique templates on the following pages (make sure to print at 100% scale) or use die Flower (55446), Circle (55327), Feathers (55008) and Daisy (55327) to cut (4) flowers, (4) 1 ¼ ” circles, (8) 1” circles, (8) ¾” circles, (12) ½ ” circles, (4) curved feathers with the right side of the fabric facing up, (4) curved feathers with the wrong side of the fabric facing up and (32) small daisy petals.

2. Fold the 16 ½ ” square in half vertically and horizontally. Press to create center vertical and horizontal lines, creating four equal quadrants.

3. Using the block image as a guide, center two flowers vertically 3” in from each side. Center two flowers horizontally 3” in from each side. Position a 1 ½ ” circle in the center of each flower and secure the circles and flowers in place using your preferred applique stitch.

4. Place a ¾” circle in the left quadrant of the 16 ½ ” square, 2 ¾” in from the left side and 2 ¾” up from the bottom. Evenly space eight small daisy petals around the circle, tucking the tip of the petals under the circle. Repeat to place a ¾” circle and eight petals in each corner. Secure the circles and petals in place using your preferred applique stitch.

5. Center a ¾” circle along the lower edge of the 16 ½ ” square, ½ ” up from the lower edge. Position a 1” circle directly on top of the ¾” circle. Position two opposite feathers between each of the circles. Repeat to add two circles and two curved feathers along each edge. Secure the feathers and circle in place using your preferred applique stitch.

6. Place a 1” circle in the left quadrant of the 16 ½ ” square, 5 ¼ ” in from the left side and 5 ¼ ” up from the bottom. Repeat to place a 1” circle in each quadrant. Secure in place using your preferred applique stitch.

7. Place a ½ ” circle in the left quadrant of the 16 ½ ” square, 7 ¼ ” in from the left side and 7 ¼ ” up from the bottom. Repeat to place a ½ ” circle in each quadrant. Secure in place using your preferred applique stitch.

8. Place a ½ ” circle in the left quadrant of the 16 ½ ” square 2 ½ ” in from the left side and 7 ¼ ” up from the bottom. Repeat to place a ½ ” circle in each quadrant. Secure in place using your preferred applique stitch.

9. Place a ½ ” circle in the left quadrant of the 16 ½ ” square 7 ½ ” in from the left side and 2 ½ ” up from the bottom. Repeat to place a ½ ” circle in each quadrant. Secure in place using your preferred applique stitch.
