The Windcat MK3.2 offers the same large and comfor-table accommodation as the standard MK3 vessels, but with the advantage of a larger foredeck. Due to the raised wheelhouse the vessel can carry larger cargo, for example a standard 10 foot container. The Volvo engines combined with the Servogear Ecoflow Variable Pitch propellers give the vessel high performance both in transit at high speeds and transfer-ring to an offshore structure, while still remaining fuel efficient.

The Windgrip System was developed by Windcat Workboats, the FRS Windcat Offshore Logistics partner, and has its patent pending. The advantages of the Wingrip System for the CTVs are improved accessibility, versatility and economic efficiency. The robust and efficient transfer system is equip- ped with several security systems and fail-safe mechanisms. It is winded around the boat landing and increases the bollard pull to the turbine up to nine tons. This ensures safer transfer from vessel to turbine even in rougher sea conditions. Experience in England, where 22 Windgrip Systems are current-ly in use, shows that up to 300 litres of fuel can be saved per day. This won Windgrip System the "Renewable UK Health and Safety Award" in 2016.

In Germany the Windgrip System was already oper- ational in several windfarms in the North and Baltic Sea.
