with Him to new life. May she now share with Him in eternal glory. Amen.

LIGHTING OF THE PASCHAL CANDLE John Myers C. – In baptism Win received the light of Christ. That light has

guided her throughout her life. May she now enjoy the risen life with her risen Lord. Amen.

C. – May almighty God have mercy on all of us, forgive us our

sins, and bring us to everlasting life. Amen.

PLACING OF THE PALL Bryan and Veronica Myers C. – At her baptism Win received the new garment, and was

asked to wear it spotlessly throughout her life. May the Lord not look on any wrong that she may have done during her life, but rather look upon her faithfulness to her God and her love for her family and friends. Amen.

that your Son died and rose to life. We pray for our sister, Win who has died in Christ. Raise her at the last day to share the glory of the risen Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

LITURGY OF THE WORD READING Julie Jessup A Reading from Phillipians. I want you to be happy, always happy in the Lord, I repeat, what I want is your happiness. Let your tolerance be evident to everyone: the Lord is very near. There is no need to worry: but if there is anything you need, pray for it, asking God for it with thanksgiving and prayer and that peace of God, which is so much greater than we can understand, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, fill your mind with everything that is good and pure, everything we love and honour and everything that can be thought virtuous or worthy of praise. Keep doing all the things that you learnt from me and have been taught by me and have heard or seen that I do. Then the god of peace will be with you. This is the word of the lord. You know the way to the place where I am going.” Thomas said: “Lord, we do not know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus said: “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. HOMILY PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL C. – For our sister Win, let us pray to our Lord Jesus Christ,

who said: “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me shall live even in death and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die.”

Carmel Fisher We thank you Father, for the inspiration and love that

Mum has given us throughout our lives, and pray that we may follow her example.

Lord, hear us. A. – Lord, hear our prayer. We pray for Mum, that she be reunited with Dad, and with

all those whom she has missed for so long. She has surely earned the gift of eternal life with you our God and Father.

Lord, hear us. A. – Lord, hear our prayer. Kerrie Myers We pray for Win’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren,

that they will hold her memory dear and honour her legacy. She showed us the qualities of life: love, strength, resilience, and forgiveness.

Lord, hear us. A. – Lord, hear our prayer.

Father, bless the family and friends of Win and may she always remain a guiding light in our hearts – may we never forget the example she has been to all whose lives she has touched.

Lord, hear us. A. – Lord, hear our prayer. C. – God, our shelter and our strength, you listen to the cry of

your people: hear the prayers we offer for our departed brothers and sisters. Cleanse them of their sins and grant them the fullness of redemption. We ask you this through Christ Our Lord.

A. – Amen. THE LORD’S PRAYER C. – At the Saviour’s command and formed by divine

teaching, we dare to say: A. – Our Father, who art in heaven,

hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

C. – Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

FINAL COMMENDATION C. – Before we go our separate ways, let us take leave of our

sister. May our farewell express our affection for her, may it ease our sadness and strengthen our hope. One day we shall joyfully greet her, when the love of Christ, which conquers all things, destroys even death itself.

Win, in the sure and certain hope that, together with all who have died in Christ, she will rise with Him on the last day. Merciful Lord, turn to us and listen to our prayers, open the gates of paradise to your servant and help us who remain to comfort one another with the assurances of faith, until we all meet in Christ and are with you and with our sister for ever.
