> Williams operates three transmisison pipelines in the United States – Northwest Pipeline, Transco and Gulfstream Natural Gas System, LLC (50 percent partnership).

> Williams’ transmission pipelines deliver approximately 14 percent of the natural gas consumed in the United States.

> The transmission pipelines transport enough natural gas in one day to serve the needs of more than 30 million homes.

WHAT WE DO

Williams operates three natural gas transmission pipelines in the United States, totaling approximately 15,000 miles. Northwest Pipeline serves the Seattle and Portland markets, and is the primary artery for the transmission of natural gas to the Pacific Northwest and Intermountain region. Our Transco transmission pipeline extends from South Texas to New York City. It is a major provider of natural gas to the northeastern and southeastern states. Williams has 50 percent ownership in Gulfstream transmission pipeline, which delivers gas across the Gulf of Mexico to meet Florida’s rapidly growing residential and power needs.

Williams’ transmission pipelines are headquartered in Houston, Salt Lake City and Tampa. The transmission pipelines also have major offices in Atlanta, Charlottesville, Va. and Princeton, N.J.

INGENUITY

Our gas transmission pipeline business has a long history of innovation. The Transco transmission pipeline crosses the Atchafalaya River in Louisiana using the world’s longest transmission pipeline suspension bridge. Our Gulfstream transmission pipeline, in which Williams shares ownership with Spectra Energy, was the first interstate natural gas transmission pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico. Gulfstream is

also the first natural gas transmission pipeline to come onshore in Florida and the first new transmission pipeline to serve that state in 40 years. In addition, our Northwest Pipeline was authorized by President Jimmy Carter in the 1970s to build the great Alaskan Pipeline.

– Northwest Pipeline has approximately 4,000 miles of pipe in its system and serves the Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountain region.

– Transco has approximately 10,000 miles of pipe in its system and serves New York City, Atlanta, and the Mid-Atlantic region.

– Gulfstream, co-owned with Spectra Energy, has 750 miles of pipe in its system and serves the Florida market.

– Williams’ transmission pipelines have a combined design capacity of more than 14 billion cubic feet per day.

– Our seasonal storage capacity exceeds 230 billion cubic feet, providing more than enough fuel for peak demands.
