ROAD 2 HOPE (EDUDEO) Fundraiser – Wednesday, October 17th, 2018

At the Monday morning assembly, we will launch our first fundraiser of the year – Road 2 Hope.

Once again, we are raising funds for EduDeo Ministries. EduDeo is a Canadian Christian

organization that seeks to help people in developing countries build and maintain Christian

schools. They provide support to Christian schools via teacher training, curriculum development,

and school construction. This year Edudeo hopes to raise funds to help provide safe drinking

water to their schools by completing eight wells at schools in Zambia.

The students raise money by having people sponsor them. They will be given pledge forms and

an envelope for money during Monday’s assembly. Sponsors can choose to give money up front

(before the event) or afterwards. We have set a goal of $3000.00 for our school. That works out

to about $50.00 per student (K-7). Children are encouraged to ask anyone they know to be their

sponsor…. parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, neighbours (with adult accompaniment), music

teachers, coaches, teachers, friends, older siblings, and so on.

This year we will once again be doing the run at Surrey Bend Park.

Like last year, we will need a LOT of volunteers. Please consider driving and/or spotting.

Permission slips will be sent home next week. Thanks!
