April Menu

Track & Field Training The track team has grown this year, with about 35 people signed up so far. Because of other commitments, we have not had the entire team together at practice yet. However, over half the ath-letes have been coming out on a regular basis and training hard for upcoming meets. I hope the weather continues to warm up and dry the field , so training can move from indoors to outdoors.

The first track and field meet is an overnighter in Winnipeg at the U of M, May 8th and 9th and it will be for the athletes who are attending practices regularly. The first meet for all athletes will be in Selkirk on May 13th. We are looking forward to our entire team competing against many large and skilled teams. In addition, the entire team will go to the Neepawa Zone meet on May 26th.

Mr. Watson and I are looking forward to seeing everyone at prac-tice in the weeks after spring break as the Zone meet is fast ap-proaching. If you would still like to join the track team, you are more than welcome! April track and field practices are Mon.,

Tues. and Thurs. after school, high jump practic-es are Mon. and Wed. at lunch, while hurdles practice will be Tues. and Thurs. at lunch time as well.

Mr. Koshel & Mr. Watson

I would like to encourage students to submit items for the 4th edition of Way of the Warrior. Send in your photos, artwork and writing.

We’d like to highlight all the great work you do! We are also hoping to add a ‘sports column’ with information on your favorite teams and sporting events, so if you like sports, tell us about it!

Deadline for this issue is May 8th, 2015.

Mr. Pugh

Monday: French Toast (2) & Breakfast Sausage (3) Tuesday: Closed

Wednesday: Baked Potato (toppings—butter, sour cream, chives, chili)

Thursday: Closed Friday: 6 oz. Steak, Roast Potatoes & Coleslaw

STUDENT COUNCIL

March is usually one of our calmer months here on Student Council, which was the case this year. We celebrated St. Patrick's Day with a Green Day and Lucky Charms for breakfast, compliments of your WMCI Student Council. We also had a Find-the-Four-Leaf-Clover Competition. We are well underway with planning a Spirit Week for early April. We're already at Spring Break! Time flies!

We wish a safe and exciting journey to those travel-ling to Europe at the end of March. While everyone is overseas, Student Council will be busy planning more exciting events for the last part of the year! See you after Spring Break!

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to support our WMCI Dessert Concert on March 12! We had a great variety of individual talent showcased that evening, along with performances from our WMCI Band and Choir. Thank you to all of the parents who made the delicious desserts. It was a very successful evening! A special thank you to the Lewis family for donating an alto saxophone to the band program and to Nancy Lewis for her many years on the Glad-stone Band Auxiliary.

All music festival trophies that were won last year need to be handed in to Mrs. Salmon as soon as possible.
