St. Joseph's College agrees to accept into its Child Study program ,students from Qlleensborough Community College who have successfully completed the A.A degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a minimum 'overall ,Grade Point Average (GPA) of2.7 on a 4.0 scale. The courses for graduation ':from the associate degree program. must be those included as part 'of' this agreement. A minimum grade of C for each individual course is required for transfer .credit to be granted. Students transferring to St. Joseph's College with a GPA of 3.0 or higher will automatically be co~sidered for scholarships.
Total transfer credits granted ~oward the baccalaureate degree: 60-64.
Total additional credits required at the senior college to complete baccalaureate degree: 68-83 (Student completing 4-certificate program: 74-83) (Student completing 2-certificate program.: 68-71)
The agreement will be reviewed annually, or when changes are made to the curriculum and/or course descriptions, anp amended as.needed. Either Queensborough or St. Joseph's may initiate discussions for .change. Either party reserves the right to end this agreement.
In an effort to evaluate the. success of this agreement and to better track student progress, St. Joseph's will provide a list of all students, and the nUIrlber of credits granted, who transfer from Queensborough·Cpmmunity College under the articulation agreement.
St. Joseph's personnel will meet with Queensborough staff and faculty, as well as prospective transfer students, upon request, to assist in planning transfer oppor1llnities.
The publicizing of the articulation agreement will be a joint effort of the two schools. The agreement will be noted in each institution's catalogs, on their respective web sites, and in inhouse brochures provided to potential and current students. Each school must approve published information about the program. St. Joseph's will create a webpage containing the agreement and supporting information 'and provide a link to it to be placed on Queensborough's website. St. Joseph's will'also visit Queensborough's campus for information sessions and recruiting events as is.·deemed appropriate.by...both schools.
