Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and Audubon Center is an extraordinary place to celebrate your special day!

Our Center offers a beautiful setting for your event with views of the Sanctuary’s unique habitats. Winter bird feeders attract special guests up close, while summer plant growth makes the Sanctuary an oasis for wildlife.

Select one theme described below for your child’s nature party:

Awesome Owls*: Turn your guests into wildlife biologists as they meet an owl, then explore what’s inside an owl pellet. Kids discover how scientists study pellets and keep all of the bones and skulls they find!

Radical Raptors*: Get up close and personal with some of the Sanctuary’s resident birds of prey, including hawks, owls, and falcons.

Reptiles Rule!*: Meet our amazing snakes, turtles, and lizards and learn about their awesome adaptations!

Wilderness Warriors (ages 6+): Put on some camouflage and learn to battle the wild with shelter building, fire starting, and more!

Amazing Animals*: Discover some of the magnificent birds of prey, impressive reptiles, and interesting insects that call the Sanctuary their home.

Bug-Stravaganza!: Bugs, bugs, are everywhere! Learn what makes an insect an insect, then we’ll break out the nets and go for a bug hunt on the trails.

Eat or Be Eaten (ages 8+): Through various predator-prey and strategy games, your guests will be put in the “shoes” of wild animals whose main goal is to stay alive another day.

*Additional $25 fee for themes involving live animals.

Party prices include the birthday child and up to 15 friends. Extra guests are $10 each with a maximum of 25 children. All children who participate in the program are included in the maximum number.

Siblings, ages 2 and up, of either the child or guests who attend the party must be included in the total head count.

A maximum of 7 adults may attend the party.

We do not provide party ware, tablecloths, or serving utensils for your nature party.

TRSAC discourages the use of balloons as they are dangerous to wildlife. Use of balloons as outside decorations is prohibited.

Our nature parties are for children ages 4 to 12. Party themes are designed specifically to be age appropriate. Themes noted with an age requirement cannot be adapted for younger children.

Your Birthday Party Includes:Private reserved room for 2 hours. Party availability is on Saturdays or Sundays 10:00 am to 12:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

A one hour program of your choice led by one of our experienced naturalists. You are responsible for activities in the second hour.

Room access half hour before the party for set up and for a half hour after the party’s end time.

Use of our nature trails, grounds, and party room for the second hour of the party.

Large table for food and cake display. Additional tables are available upon request
