Lateness and Absence

Lateness can be a real distraction

for pupils and staff. Please note

your child needs to be in their

classroom by 8.45am to register.

The register closes at 8.50am .If

your child arrives after 8.50am

they will need to sign in at the

office and will receive a L ( late)

mark. If your child arrives after

9am they will need to sign in at the

office and will receive a U ( Unau-

thorised Late Mark).

Minimum School Attendance Target: 96.0% This Week’s Attendance: 93.8 %

In accordance with our Safeguarding Policy, from time to time school may need to make a referral to Children & Young People Services

School Dinners

A brief reminder to parents, please save us and yourself any embarrassment and do not order a school dinner for

your child unless it is paid for in advance. The school has suffered a deficit on its closing balance this year and sadly

this will detract from school funds that would have gone to pupils. We are now having to look into a way in which school dinners are ordered and paid for in advance via a cashless system to prevent non payment. This is something

that we are hoping to have in place in the autumn term.

If your child is transitioning from year Y2 into Y3 please remember they will no longer receive universal free school

meals and you will need to activate your Parent Pay account.

We are very sad to see two of our wonderful teachers and one of our Nursery Plus staff leaving for pastures new. We

wish them all the very best of luck with their new pathways and cannot thank them enough for all they have contrib-

uted to the children and the legendary team here at Wilcombe . Goodbye and good luck to Miss Hoey, Mr Paine and

Mrs Winterbourne.

A message from our Senior Leadership

Team…

Thank you to all of our parents and pupils in helping Wilcombe achieve so much this

year, what a way to end the year through the means of the amazing performance

‘Pirates of the Curry Bean’. We are so

proud of all of our pupils and all they have worked towards over the last 12 months.

We have also achieved our 96% attend-

ance target which means our pupils have acquired a great deal of learning as well as

having overcome so many personal and ac-

ademic challenges in a positive and pro-

ductive manner. We would like thank all of

our staff, parents and pupils in making Wil-combe such a great school. Thank you all

for a great year and we wish you all a

great summer.

Thank you to all the parents and staff

who helped with the disco. The PTFA would not be able to put these events on

without this support. We managed to

make just over £400 profit (which in-

cludes £100 from the production draw

etc)

Breakfast Club

Advanced warning that there will be no Breakfast Club on the first 3 days back in September, this is

due to the room being refurbished.

Parking on the School Run

When we arrive back in September, please do not park directly outside of the school or on the Zig

Zag lines. It poses a serious safety concern to our

children. Please leave enough time to find alterna-tive parking close by for drop off and collection of

your children
