InvestmentSummerAnalyst SantaMonica,CAJobDescription:WilshireAssociatesIncorporatedisseekingacollegeundergraduatestudenttojointheWilshirePrivateMarkets(WPM)divisionforasummerinternship.Thisisafull-time,ten-weekinternship.ThispersonmustbegraduatingintheFallof2019orSpringof2020.Aftercompletionofyourinternship,thereisthepotentialforafull-timepositionupongraduation.WPMisaglobalprivatemarketssolutionsprovider,managingcommingleddiscretionaryfund-of-fundsaswellascustomizedseparateaccountsandnon-discretionaryadvisoryservices.WPMinvestsinprivatepartnerships,directco-investmentsandsecondarylimitedpartnershipinterestswithafocusonbuyouts,venturecapital,distressedstrategiesandrealassets,andcurrentlymanagesapproximately$5billionofinstitutionalcapital.ThisindividualwillbeamemberoftheWPMinvestmentteam,workingcloselywithseniormanagementofthedivision.Responsibilitieswillinclude:

• HelpmaintainWPM’sresearchdatabase• Assistwithdataentryanddatamigration• Additionaldutiessurroundinginvestmentandclientservicesupport

RequiredExperienceandSkills:

• Majors:Allmajorsareencouragedtoapply,however,astrongfinance,business,engineering,mathematics,and/orstatisticsbackgroundispreferred

• Excellentanalyticalskills(bothquantitativeandqualitative);priorinternshipatanationallyrecognizedinvestmentmanagement,investmentbanking,managementconsultingorfinancialservicesfirmispreferred

• Outstandingwrittenandoralcommunicationskills• HighproficiencyinMicrosoftOffice(particularlyExcelandAccess)• Abilitytoworkindependentlyandefficientlyundertimepressureinafast-pacedenvironment
