Program Title: Learning the basics: Adobe Photoshop Program description: Adobe Photoshop is an expensive computer program geared towards photographers and graphic designers in the art industry. Because of the high price tag on the program, people seeking to use Photoshop may want to test the waters before they commit to purchasing the software. This class is geared towards teens & adults who are curious about how to use Photoshop and for those who would like to learn the software. Class attendees will be provided with hands on overview of the layout and the most commonly used tools and settings in Photoshop CS6. Participants will learn how to use program tools to alter photographs, crop, scale, create clipping masks and design flyers. Need for program: Adobe Photoshop is such a popular program and is universally used and recognized. We have a population of adults who would love to learn how to use Photoshop but may not have access to the software or cannot financially pay for a course. We are also surrounded by three area high schools with students who could utilize this class to build job & resume skills as well as obtain future career insight. Community Partners:

Purchase Adobe Photoshop for each computer in our lab and install Set and time and date for the location to take place Create flyers/artwork for the program, draft & send press release

Evaluation: Record attendance statistics and ask that each attendee fill out a survey and submit it at the end of class.

LEARN THE BASICS OF ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS6

Salisbury, MD - On Saturday September 26th from 1-4 pm Wicomico Public Libraries will be hosing a Learn the Basics of Adobe Photoshop class in the Entrepreneurship Center located at the Downtown Library. Participants will learn the how to use software tools to edit images & create design flyers. Registration is required. To register or to obtain additional details about this class please visit wicomicolibrary.org. Wicomico Public Libraries has locations in Downtown Salisbury, the Centre at Salisbury, Pittsville, and the Library Bookmobile.
