Why Shouldn’t We Give A Capital Punishment To Corrupt Officials Over the past decades, several countries, like China, had legalized a capital punishment to corrupt officials. However, the proposal has attracted many attention and controversy these days. This essay shall explore some reasons why a capital punishment should not be given to corrupt officials. Firstly, abolishing the death penalty to corruptors will help to solve the problem humanely. In contrast to imprisonment for life, the death sentence is violent and inhuman. In this situation, the problem of corruption should be done rationally, not by violence. Secondly, giving a capital punishment to corrupt officials will not return the state property that has been corrupted. Therefore, there are no point to give a death sentence to corrupt officials. Apart from incarceration, government should provide fines as an additional punishment , while the corruptors are instructed to do social work, volunteer, and not paid to compensate for the lost state. Finally, the capital punishment is not the most effective form of punishment. In general, one has no rights take someone’s life. Clearly, giving a capital punishment to corrupt officials is incompatible to the beliefs of many religious groups.

Secondly, giving a capital punishment to corrupt officials will not return the state property that has been corrupted. Therefore, there are no point to give a death sentence to corrupt officials. Apart from incarceration, government should provide fines as an additional punishment , while the corruptors are instructed to do social work, volunteer, and not paid to compensate for the lost state.
