How Hot Water Sanitizing(HWS)

Works ?• In Electrotemp’s patents, there are two preferred versions

of Hot Water Sanitizing.• 1. Natural convection using solenoid valve or • 2. Pump forced mixing of hot & cold waters.• Upon manual activation, control board will shut compressor off and start up water pump or open solenoid

valve located between hot and cold tanks.• Hot water pump or solenoid valve will mix cold and hot

water together.• When water reaches preset temperature, it might be held at

this temperature for selected amount of time.• Control board closes solenoid valve or shuts off hot water

pump and starts compressor to cool water down.• During this process cold water faucet could be dispensing

hot water.• To prevent accidents resulting from drinking hot water

instead of cold, solenoid locks out cold faucet actuator when water temperature is above 45˚C / 113˚F.

• Sanitization cycle takes less then 3 hours, it can be done before going to bed, or when leaving house for 3 hours.

• Fully Automated Cycle maintains Water Quality reliably and effortlessly.

"For all the previous complaints regarding the plastic taste, make sure you follow the instructions to clean it. The "plastic" taste will go away after you use the unit a few times. Also, complaints about the noise, turn the heat portion off. If you want hot water, turn it on, it will get hot in ~ 90 seconds; not much of a wait. With regards to the noise, when you turn off the heat it rarely makes any noise. The only noise is when the reservoir gets close to empty and the system fills it back up. It's more noisy in the beginning because you are using it for the first time. The noise almost goes away completely."
