Page 1: Why Examination Should Be Banned

Although students may be taking the same test, they will not be prepared in the exact same way as each student. One student may have trouble at home, affecting their performance in the exam. Students get over stressed and anxious that can really affect their social state and their mental state. Over all leading to bad performance Every student is different and it can not be controlled and modified

AND In Finland and other places they have taken on this and stuff and they are going great

AND I'm not just arguing that exams should be ban, because students still need to be assessed, Instead I propose, long term assessments, so like we are assess on all our class work wich will get student into good habits of working hard but not being stressed about one massive final examIn this way they are assessed on how well they work and not based on one exam, just one. It is a more accurate way and a less stressful way

No we shouldnt because the student and the students parents would not be able to know what level their student is at their education. And another reasons fo those dropout people that think we should ban, how would we be able to get a job. The job managers will need to know how good they are in their education.

No they should not

We use tests for everything. Driving tests and medical tests. Exams are a test to see if students are keeping up in school! If we don't have these tests students could fall behind and nobody would know. And what if a teacher is teaching poorly this will show in the exam rusilts and this teacher will be challenged for his bad teaching.

No Exams shouldn't be banned

Exams should not be banned as it provides a competitive spirit for the student. This era is a competitive era so students should be properly trained from schools to face these big and huge competitions. As it also help the teacher, to understand more on the knowledge acquired by the student.

Examinations cannot be banned!!

It helps the teacher understand whether the child has understood concepts taught in school, the child know where he or she stands in class and it helps parents know whether they are simply wasting their money or not.The teacher gets to know if she has to improve her teaching methods or not. Also,in a class there are so many people for the teacher to control, that if there are tests, the teacher can concentrate individually on each and every child.

Iam a High School Student and i Say it Shouldn't!

Students will lose interest in studying because they'll have nothing to work hard for. There will be no competition among students. Students will not be able to identify heir flaws and work towards it. Therefore their academic standards will deteriorate!Exams shouldn't be banned from any school system! I strongly support this.

School examinations are something which most students dread. Yet, there is hardly any educational system that does not set examinations.

Many feel that examinations should be banned because they test the students’ memory power rather than their analytical or reasoning powers. Such examinations require students only to memorize facts regurgitate them during examinations and conveniently forget them soon after.

Passing examinations could also sometimes be a matter of luck. Lucky student who spots questions accurately will probably do better than one who just studies his books. Moreover, there are some students who perform better when they are not under pressure. These students may panic and perform poorly under examination conditions.

Page 2: Why Examination Should Be Banned

Though reasons for banning examinations may be many, there remains one basic explanation as to why examinations have not been abolished. That is, all educational systems need a standardized method of testing the students’ understanding of what they have learned. No one has thought of a better substitute in that respect. Whether examinations test a student’s memory power or analytical power depends very much on the type of questions asked. Therefore, there is no need to abolish examinations. Rather, examinations could be set such that they truly test the student’s understanding. Some even argue that the students’ ability to withstand pressureduring examinations do reflect a certain form of capability.

Furthermore, students need examinations to act as a form of motivation to learn. If examinations were banned, many would become complacent and would not do their best.

In conclusion, it can be said that examinations should not be banned because of the need to assess a student’s ability.

Is examination really important in our life?

Most teenagers think that examination give them too much pressure. Example, their parent expects them to score well in their exam, wanting them not to lose to others. There are some teenagers who give themselves pressure because they want totake up a challenge with their friends. This led them to stress and may cause minority of them to have psychological problem. If come to worst, they will think of committing suicide. Teenager thinks that taking examination is a waste of time, due to thepreparation of exam.

From our point of view, we think that exam should not be banned. Having examination is to test our knowledge and understanding toward the subject that we have learnt and to know our own limits. With our result /grade, it allows the teacher, our parent, the others and ourselves to know what our standard are and from there we can build up our self-confident. Taking examination can also be training for our memory, as to see how much thing you can remember. If examination were to be banned, student will not take their study as a serious matter. This lead them to have a mindset of not going to school, end up, the student will think that school is not important. Without examinations, we can’t differentiate the standard of one and others. This cause difficulty to everyone trying to know what they are capable of.

Exams are unhealthy for students

When students hear of upcoming exams, it usually means that when they go home that night they feel depressed and worried about how well they will do, and they often compare themselves to other students and worry about if they will do as well as their friends. When study begins, it often doesn't stop till midnight, thus leaving the student sleep deprived the next day, it also stops the student from taking in what they are studying.Exams stop a student from functioning properly, and often they are disappointed in their final grade, a reason that exams are bad for the health of students and should be abolished.

Exams are Great

. First of all, exams would motivate pupils to study. Statistics show that most parents would reward children if they get good grades in their exams. This reward would help them to do well and they will do well in future studies. Of course, pupils will build up stress, but that’s part of growing up. Exams would help pupils to control themselves and build up lots ofconfidence. It will test the pupil’s ability. To add to this, exams will help choose which school is a better choice for you if youare moving from primary school to secondary school. How do you know which one is for you?

Examinations motivate pupils to study

Parents pressurize their children to study for the exams. If they get good grades, they may get a reward. This reward motivates children to study and therefore they will properly learn. Stress is another process of growing up. In the teenage years, they may kick objects, cut themselves, cry their hearts out, but after all this, they will learn to control themselves. Examinations are also a test of their ability. If you are ending elementary school and going to middle school, how do you know which school is a better choice for you? Different schools have different standards. How do you know which one is suitable for you? This system has been around for a long time. In ancient China, scholars took exams. They king chose his officials from the exam. That's why i believe that examinations should not be abolished

Page 3: Why Examination Should Be Banned

I hate exams.

I think that exam should not be used to determine a student's future. The exam result doesn't mean whether the student is clever or not. I think the school should care more about the daily performance and see whether the students are really paying attention during class and did the homework seriously.
