WHO WE ARE The Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers Program provides assistance to older and disabled adults who need a little extra help. Many frail and physically challenged adults in our community struggle daily to maintain their independence -- our helping hands make it possible for them to remain in their own homes. WHAT WE DO The program matches volunteers of all ages with older or disabled adults to provide a variety of supportive services such as: transportation and help with errands; minor home repairs, maintenance, chores, & yardwork; light housekeeping and meal preparation; friendly visits and supportive phone calls; respite care (relief breaks for full-time family caregivers); and other assistance that can help someone remain safely at home. The Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers program will try to find a helping hand for anyone who lives within our service area, regardless of religious preference. All older and disabled adults who need assistance to remain at home are eligible for help, however priority is given to those with the greatest need. All services are offered without charge, although donations are greatly appreciated and help us reach out to more people in need. WHO WE ARE The Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers Program provides assistance to older and disabled adults who need a little extra help. Many frail and physically challenged adults in our community struggle daily to maintain their independence -- our helping hands make it possible for them to remain in their own homes.

WHAT WE DO The program matches volunteers of all ages with older or disabled adults to provide a variety of supportive services such as:

transportation and help with errands; minor home repairs, maintenance, chores, & yardwork; light housekeeping and meal preparation; friendly visits and supportive phone calls; respite care (relief breaks for full-time family caregivers); and other assistance that can help someone remain safely at home.

WE ARE NOT A PROFESSIONAL SERVICE, AND WE DO NOT PROVIDE HOME HEALTH CARE.

CONTRIBUTIONS

Since the majority of those we serve live near or below the poverty level, IVC does

not charge for services. Instead, we rely on the generosity of the local community to carry out our work. Your donation will

ensure that more of our older and disabled neighbors get the help they need.

Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers is a 501(c)(3) non

-profit organization. All contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by law, and can be sent to:

IVC at 8075 Ritter, Center Line, MI 48015

Lend your Hands, Lend your Ears, Lend your Heart!

Someone with just a couple extra hours

to spare each month can drive a disabled adult to the doctor's.

A busy mother can pick up a few

extra groceries for a widow while she's out shopping for her own.

A youth group can get together on a

weekend to clean up a senior's yard.

A handy person, on their way home

from work, can take a few minutes to fix a neighbor's leaky faucet.

A teen can drop in after school and

read the paper to someone who has lost their sight.

A business professional can offer their

management skills on our Board.

Even a person who is homebound can

make a weekly phone call to reassure and support other shut-ins.

You Can Make a Difference!

A kind and listening ear, nimble fingers, strong hands, sharp vision, or sure and steady feet can make a tremendous difference in the life of someone who is struggling to remain independent. Everyone has a special gift to offer, and the Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers Program provides all the training and support needed to help volunteers share their talents with others. Through this program, you have the special opportunity to truly live out your faith -- by reaching out to those in our midst who need your help.
