A Message from the Padre
Our Gospel this weekend speaks to each one of us on how to
respond to Jesus’ momentous question of, “Who do you say that I
am?” This question must never stop echoing in our hearts. There
are so many ways to answer this question, but Peter said something that captured the heart of Jesus. He said,
“You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
My dear friends, yes, Jesus is indeed the Christ …the Son of the living God. We affirm, like Peter,
that he truly comes from the Father. Let us not forget that our response speaks not just about who we think
Jesus is, but who is Jesus in our lives… as His spirit comes with a demand to follow the will of “The living
God – Our Father.” We do all these by our deeds of mercy and compassion through generous care for oth-
ers… by making right choices for the integrity and respect for human life, and by sharing our active concern
for the poorest of the poor.
This is a response that no one can make or decide for us. Each of us needs to speak it, and to live it
in a most personal way. The more we truly seek to give that answer to Jesus, despite our weaknesses and fail-
ures, the more alive and real Jesus becomes to us. He truly is the Christ, the Son of the living God, the one
who loves us and continues to sustain us in our life’s journey.
Fr Joe
Lord God, Almighty Father, creator of
mankind and author of peace, as we are
ever mindful of the cost paid for the lib-
erty we possess, we ask you to bless the
members of our armed forces. Give
them courage, hope and strength. May they ever experience
your firm support, gentle love and compassionate healing. Be
their power and protector, leading them from darkness to light.
To you be all glory, honor and praise, now and forever. Amen
Please pray for the men and women now serving in the
military, especially the loved ones of our parishioners:
Michael Blaser
Kenneth Fama
Chris and Amy Price

PRAYERS FOR OUR MILITARY FAMILY
The safety and success of our military serving at home and abroad
defending our country should be prayed for daily. All should be rec-
ognized for their outstanding commitment to risk their lives so we can
remain free. Members of our parish family are requested to provide
the names of their loved ones so they can be remembered in our
prayers.
To include their names in our prayer list please contact Carol Nasife
by email at [email protected] or by calling 609-267-0230 ext. 16.

COLLECTION COUNTERS
NEEDED
Calling all Parishioners: The Fi-
nance Council of Our Lady Queen of Peace is looking for additional Collection Counters. This ministry requires that the “counter” be available at least one Sunday each month from 10:30 AM until approximately 2:00 PM. The counters work in groups of three and are responsible for counting the collections of all five weekend Masses.
As you can imagine, this is a very responsible position in our parish and requires dedication and commitment. If interested in serving in this important ministry, kindly sub-mit a short letter to the attention of Father Joe. In this letter, please include your name, address, and a short memo delineating any special qualifications you may have to add to our Ministry of Collection Counters, such as education, work experience, or specific talent. We greatly appreciate all parishioners who may be interested in serving our faith community in this necessary capacity.

exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on Wednesdays fol-
lowing the 9:00 AM Mass. Please come and spend a little
