The state-of-the-art Whitton Auditorium is named for the last son of Elaine Whitton Davis ’73, David “Whitt” Inman ’93. Whitton Davis and her husband, Eric, established the Whitton Endowment for Business Excellence and the Whitton Speaker Series, both in the College of Business Administration with events that are open to the public to attend. The auditorium is housed on the first floor of the Vivian Moore Carroll Hall, occupied by the College of Business, the hall features the Carroll Capital Markets Training and Trading Center, a facility that connects students to global markets through interactive technology. The center accommodates 24 students and has a second-level mezzanine for viewing the activity.
INTERESTING FEATURES
• 220-seat auditorium ideal for presentations.
• Additional space for event happenings is available in adjacent facilities, including collaborative team learning rooms for groups of four to eight guests, Minerd Executive Seminar Room with SMART capabilities, and Macfeat House Conference Center.
• Entertainment and receptions can take place in the adjacent Macfeat House. It contains one conference room, one dining room, a front lobby, a back gathering space and additional space available on adjacent patio, which serves as a walk-between connecting Macfeat and Whitton Auditorium. The well-equipped conference center has a capacity for up to 80 people with various arrangements of tables with a buffet location in the gathering area and seating throughout. An optional tent can be erected on the adjacent patio, which can include additional round, rectangular or hightop tables for food and guests.
