Recording thoughts and ideas

is an essential part of a training

participant’s role. White Springs’

e-Workbook keeps what we all like

about taking notes, but makes them

even smarter.

GOING PAPERLESS

Predictions of a paperless society have been circulating for over 40 year and whilst

the concept has come a long way, society has yet to complete the transition and take

advantage of the many benefits to ‘going paperless’.

Global TrendsThough the transition may be slow, overall global trends continue to drive

us towards a paperless world with five notable factors to consider:

2Increased immediacy

in communicating, sharing and tracking via electronic media such as tablet devices and

SMART phones.

Continuous need for

increased workplace efficiency.

A shift towards

knowledge-based economies.

Negative environmental

impacts of urbanisation, pollution and maintaining office

facilities.Growing

number of globally spread

workforces.

PRINTED WORKBOOKS- lead weights? The majority of organisations

continue to distribute hard-copy,

printed workbooks to participants

during face to face [f2f ] training

sessions. Though physical

workbooks deliver tactile and

tangible qualities, the permanent

nature of printed media brings

about it’s own challenges. Workbook

authors struggle to keep the content

of such publications relevant and

up-to-date. Understandably, issues

arise regarding the need to control

text, images, formatting, version

control, file sizes, printing,

binding, distribution

and delivery.

Added to which, costs can escalate

in an on-going manner which then

impacts onto ROI and operational

efficiency.

Training customers demand

their own personal content and

customisation in workbooks and

their training preferences swing

between print and online training.

These demands increase

the complexity of

a training

organisation’s sales cycle, the

expectation in level of service and

delivery is pushed higher and the

maintenance of print materials.

Despite all the extra effort and

commitment, a training company

rarely sees a significant

increase.

E-WORKBOOK- making notes work harderWhite Springs recognises the

effectiveness that f2f training offers

and the need to ensure efficiency in

its ongoing deployment to clients.

With this in mind, our team of experts

has developed DeNotePro, a digital

notebook which, using the best

technology, allows participants of

training to continue expressing and

recording their ideas in a natural way.

e-Workbook is an online application

that works on both Android tablet

and Apple iPad. It looks and functions

like a traditional paper notebook and

keeps what participants find useful

about taking notes. Importantly, it

makes each note ‘smarter’, in more

ways than one.
