“The Orthodox Nun told me to ‘blank’ off, we have nothing to say to you...” There are over one million people in our city; 75,000 are students. Krasnodar has fewer than 10 churches teaching salvation by grace alone, with less than half a percent of the population in attendance. No one is specifically concerned with the students of Krasnodar. Thanks to the work of an incredible team of 9 from Church of the Resurrection, Syracuse, NY we had a successful student camp this summer. The only university student camp in the region. Over 100 people attended for 5 days of rafting and mt. biking, zip-lines over the river and campfires, worship and preaching. We were made up of Atheist and Orthodox, Muslims and Christians. One friend of mine, Victor, a business man who is getting a second degree from the University where we host an English Club attended camp and brought his 12 year-old daughter. He met me when I arrived the first day of camp. “Steve, I went to the Russian Orthodox
Church to get their official position on attending your American Christian camp. I asked a nun inside the church if what I was doing was okay. She asked, ‘Are you an Orthodox Believer?’ I said, ‘No, I’m an Atheist.’ She said, ‘$#@! off, we don’t have anything to say to you. Go be with your American friends.’ Steve, at least you have room for me.” I really like Victor. He’s not a mission field, he’s a friend. He has integrity and a true desire to see his country improve. I told him that day that we love atheists and will always have room for him and his family. He was a huge help at camp. As followers of Jesus we are only as relevant as the relationships we have with real people in real time.
Thank you for giving,

Administrator - If you are organized and like to help others stay that way, we could use your gifting.Mechanic/Handyman - Our team is made up of 3 families and 5 singles. There is always a home or car repair needed. This is far more time-consuming here than in America. Media - Web, print, graphics, video. If you are skilled in any of these areas, we and the national church could use your talent. MK Development - There are 11 MK’s on our team alone. Our kids are important to us, yet often they get the last of our energies. If you could help teach, befriend, hang out with MKs, they would love it.Business Development - Some of our ministries have business aspects, such as the Royal Rangers Eurasia store. We need someone who understands building and growing a business for the Kingdom.Campus Ministry - We are looking for people to study Russian for 10 months at our University. The program is affordable. Your job...to spend time with students. Low pressure, lots of fun.Stateside Fund Raisers - Can you organize a garage sale, a car wash or an ebay-a-thon? In these leaner times we need creative people and ideas to help provide the funds to continue the work here in Russia.*all openings are faith funded,so start praying & saving.
