White Pass Ski and Snowboard Club

2016-2017

Winter is just ahead, It’s time to start planning your winter sports activities. The training and

competition schedules are set for the club’s teams. Our weekend programs begin December

10th unless otherwise stated in schedule. Check the web site for changes and updates in the

calendar.

Matt Morrell is continuing as WPSC program director this season. Through his leadership our

club will continue to give our young athletes the opportunity to excel beyond their goals.

Many from our coaching staff will be returning this season. Kevin McDevitt remains as the

Junior head-coach, along with Bill Cimock and Cal Blethen leading the Buddy Werner and Intro

to Ski Racing programs. Mandy Hanson will direct our Free-ride Team again this year along with

Dan Bracewell and Bean Gaskell. We welcome back Anson Morgan to lead our Snowboard Club

with coaches, Doug Taylor and Kelly Ryan returning. This team promises to bring a winter filled

with motivating and fun experiences to our members.

Once again we are offering a $100 discount if coaching fees are paid in full by December 1st.

(Intro programs excluded). White Pass Ski Area is offering a season passes to all our club

members.

Liability Release I/We, the parents/legal guardians of the White Pass Ski Club member named on registration form, assume and

understand that skiing and riding are very hazardous; that bare spots, variations in snow, ice and terrain, along with

bumps, jumps, moguls, stumps, forest growth, and many other obstacles exist within a ski area. In participating with the

White Pass Ski Club, such dangers are recognized and accepted whether they are marked or unmarked, natural or man-

made. The skier/rider realizes that falls and collisions do occur and injuries may occur, and therefore assumes the

responsibility of skiing/riding under control at all times. I/We hereby release and hold harmless the White Pass Ski Club

and any member thereof, and the White Pass Ski Club coaches and volunteers, White Pass Co. and its employees, PNSA,

USSA, and the US Forest Service and/or any ski area where members train or compete. This release also covers all travel

to and from these activities.

I currently have, and agree to maintain throughout the time that I/or minor named athlete train and compete, valid and

sufficient medical and accident insurance. I understand that this is my sole responsibility and release all persons and

entities identified above from providing this coverage for me/or minor athlete.

I agree that I will accept and abide by the rules and regulations of the White Pass Ski Club, USSA, USASA and any other

rules or regulations imposed by the organizers of any particular competition. This release shall be binding upon my heirs

and assigns.
