IMPORTANT MEDIACOM ADAPTERS:

Below is a copy of the letter WHP Office received from Mediacom: At Mediacom, we’re constantly striving to do more for our customers. That’s why we’re in the process of converting our TV channel lineup from Analog to All Digital. The change to All Digital will bring you more channels, more HD, better picture and sound quality and greater reliability. While this transition will bring a lot of exciting changes, homeowners of White Horse Park must take action to ensure all your TVs in your unit are equipped to receive the digital signal when the analog signal for channels 18-66 ends. If your TV is not connected to a Mediacom Digital Receiver, the simplest way to enjoy All Digital is to connect a Mediacom Digital Adapter to your TV. Once installed, all of your channels will be available and will automatically update with any future lineup additions or changes. The move to all Digital starts now and will be completed in April 2014. Please contact Mediacom as soon as possible. Mediacom will provide you with up to three Digital Adapters at no cost through APRIL 30th, 2015. Beginning May 1, 2015 a monthly fee of $0.99 per standard adapter and $1.99 per HD adapter will be added to your yearly bill. All adapters must be ordered by June 30

th, 2014 to qualify for discount per

telephone conversation with Mediacom. To receive your Digital Adapters, please call Mediacom (800-479-2095) and order your adapter/adapters (standard adapter or HD adapter). If you already have an account with Mediacom, please reference your Personal account number (NOT WHP account number), if you do not have one, they will open an account for you and your adapters. So how do you know if you need an adapter? If you answer YES to any of these questions you DO NOT need a Mediacom Digital Adapter. Is your TV already connected to a Mediacom Digital Receiver? (This is a digital box you pay for personally). You DO NOT need an adapter: Can you get channels: 104-2, 103-4, 103-2, 101-3, 105-1, 101-2 on your TV, if you can, your TV is digital. You DO NOT need an adapter: If you answer NO to the above questions you will need a Mediacom Digital Adapter. To receive an adapter you must contact Mediacom

(800-479-2095) or go to mediacomcable.com/order

or visit your local Mediacom office in Dagsboro at 32441 Royal Blvd. (Please do not hesitate to call the WHP office if you have any questions.

White Horse Park Times 3

Happy Easter to all, I hope your holiday will be happy and safe. I know we will all be glad when the snow and rain stop and we get some sunshine and warmth. It has been a stressful month for me and my family but I am in constant contact with Sue and the office to keep up with Park business. We appreciate all the wishes and prayers from the members in the park and are looking forward to a positive outcome for our daughter.

At the March meeting the issue of whether the office should be opened or closed on Sundays was brought up. The activity was recorded, last year, during the months of May thru September. It showed little to no activity on any given Sunday. If you have an opinion on this matter, please make it known to me before the meeting on April 26th as the board will vote on this issue at that meeting. As of this writing I have 5 opinions for having it open on Sundays out of 465.

I am happy to say that the new ramp should be being poured at the time of the publishing of this newsletter. This will be under the supervision of the county rep. and our engineer. I am confident of a positive outcome. Mid Atlantic will then proceed to the completion of the back dock. The outlook for completion is looking better all the time.

I hope we will have a strong ballot to fill the positions on the Board that will be open this year. It is important for the well-being of the Park to have candidates to serve. It is often a thankless job but on the other hand it is good to be part of improvements.

I am very glad that the Board voted on having a lawn service take over the maintenance of the grounds in the park. Having the service does not mean that they do not have to overseen and managed by our staff but it will free up our maintenance employees and management to address projects in the park which can be done during the warm months of the spring and summer that they have not been able to accomplish while carrying the load of the grass cutting. I believe everyone will be more satisfied with this arrangement.

Thank you again for expressing your concern and comments. Please feel free to contact me through the website, by mail to my personal post box #41, or through the comment box in the foyer of the office. Looking forward to seeing you at the April 26th meeting. Pat Heath

PRESIDENT’S CORNER

MEETINGS:

The BOD meeting for April has been rescheduled for April 26th, 10AM at the Clubhouse The BOD meetings are always the third Saturday of the Month except the Annual Meeting which is the last Saturday in June. Location is the WHP Clubhouse. A Board work session will begin at 0900 am at the clubhouse with no member feedback at that session. At 10:00am. the regular board meeting will begin. An open forum will be at the end of the meeting prior to BOD voting. All are welcome to attend. If you have any concerns, suggestions or complaints, please email or write to the office, (2) weeks prior to the meeting so the information can get onto the agenda or we can have the information for the BOD. Some information has to be researched to have the answers at the meeting.

The Budget was approved at the March BOD meeting. If you would like a copy, they will be available at the April meeting.

Tree Project:

The tree project is moving along. Bills will be sent out by the 15th of April and will be due by May 15th, 2014.

Lawn Care Company:

The BOD has voted and approved for a lawn service company to cut and trim throughout the park. The topic of lawn service was brought up at the previous meetings and during the March meeting a vote was taken on the hiring of a contractor for lawn service. Several Companies gave a bid for the project. The company selected is A&I Lawn Care. The company will cut on Wednesdays starting in April. Please have your areas picked up and cars parked out of the way for the mowers. Weed whacking will not be performed on units that do not have a barrier between the grass and your vinyl siding or skirting. The same goes for sheds. Anyone who does not want their lawn mowed you will need to neatly display a NO-MOW sign on your lawn so the company will by-pass your lot.

The ECC will be doing home inspections the first week of June. You will receive a copy of our checklist with your electric bill. This is a general list of issues we will be looking for. This is a heads up for you, the homeowner, to take care of any issues, first to avoid a violation letter/ and or fine. The biggest issue for now is mold on the homes. Almost every home in the park has some. Please, when you come back to the park, check your homes for these issues. Wishing you a happy spring-see you all soon. You can also see a copy of the checklist on our website at whpca.org
