Gerrie is going to share his favourite restaurant in Prague with you, while you might also opt for dinner while cruising the Danube river. NB: You are in experienced hands, sit back and relax and enjoy the tour at your own pace and tempo. Gerrie enjoys touring on foot, however alternative options are always available. DAY 1WELCOME IN BUDAPESTOn arrival at Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport, enjoy a complimentary transfer to your hotel at 10:00, 13:00 or 15:30. DAY 2 RELAXED STARTBUDAPEST, QUEEN OF THE DANUBE• Drive along the elegant boulevards to Heroes’ Square. Cross the

river with its famous suspension bridge, visit the Matthias Church with its unique story and feast your eyes on the dashing view from the Fisherman’s Bastion. You will definitely come across a stand selling their famous Paprika too!

• At a traditional strudel house, watch pastry chefs at work preparing delicious strudel by stretching the dough and stacking it with delicious fillings. Enjoy one of these famous mouth-watering delicatessens with a rich aromatic coffee. (Breakfast, strudel, dinner.)

DAY 4ALONG THE DANUBE TO SZENTENDRE AND ON TO STATELY VIENNA• Travel along the Danube to the village of Szentendre with its

brightly coloured houses and quaint churches.• Journey to Győr, located on the confluence of the Danube, Rába

and Rábca rivers. Cross the border and continue to stately Vienna, home of classical music and known for its elegant coffee houses and lavish architecture steeped in history.

• Dine tonight at one of our specially selected restaurants. A finger-licking experience!

DAY 5VIENNA AND THE HABSBURGS• Join a Local Expert for a private visit of Maria Theresa’s

Schönbrunn Palace and its formal gardens. The golden plated rooms will leave you breathless. The Palace also boasts with the world’s oldest zoo. Our visit is private, without the mob of daily visitors to this beautiful site.

• Get your camera ready for a roundabout trip of the famous Ring Road. It showcases the Opera House, Hofburg Imperial Residence,

the Austrian Parliament Building and the Karlskirche – all built along the ancient city walls. Vienna’s Christmas markets are truly special. Don’t miss out on a glass of Glühwein! The well-known Landtman coffee house’s Sacher torte is highly recommendable. Vienna is buzzing with activities – simply too much to mention!

• Enjoy a free afternoon of exploring on your own. • We end the day off with a highlight. A classical era concert while

eating dinner in a palace. You’ll be swept away to the time of Mozart. (Breakfast and dinner)

DAY 6 RELAX STARTVIENNA AT LEISUREDiscover the regal grandeur of Vienna at your own pace. Feel free to cross the Slovakian border and add another capital to your travels, Bratislava. Alternatively, ask you Travel Director for recommendations of local attractions and restaurants to enjoy a cosy winter evening filled with scents and colours of a European Christmas. (Breakfast)

DAY 7CHARMING ĊESKY KRUMLOV AND RADIANT PRAGUE• Once we crossed the Czech border, we continue to the picturesque

Ċesky Krumlov and get a head start with a quick orientation tour. Wander through cobblestone, traffic-free streets, past colourful houses leading to the finest castle in the country. The market offers an abundance of traditional food and souvenirs.

• Enjoy free time to explore on your own, before we continue through the green Bohemian countryside to Prague in the afternoon.

DAY 8PRAGUE, CITY OF A HUNDRED SPIRES• Join a Local Expert on a guided tour of one of Europe’s most

beautiful and historical cities. Start at the 1,000-year-old Prague Castle, admiring the stained-glass windows of St Vitus Cathedral and the spectacular views of the Old City. Gerrie will accompany you to point out some highlights. The Charles bridge is also on the menu.

• The tour comes to an end on the Old Town Square where the mechanical antics of the Astronomical Clock’s glockenspiel delights spectators on the hour.

• Explore on your own for the rest of the day. The Czechs are passionate about their beer. Enjoy a local lager with a mouth-watering Czech meal.

DAY 9 RELAX STARTPRAGUE AT LEISUREWind along cobbled streets and discover a treasure-trove of hidden gems, as you explore Prague at your own pace. The Christmas market on the Old Town Square is one of Europe’s best! • Tantalise your taste buds tonight with a feast of local specialities

at Prague’s oldest restaurant, while being entertained by local musicians. Truly a highlight. Dobrou chut! (Breakfast and dinner)
