INTRODUCTION

This Conversation Manual accompanies the Cree conversation CD by the same authors. All of the spoken content of the CD

is transcribed here, with additional footnotes and titles. The following colour code is used: English, French, Plains Cree.

Note about the Audio CD: The 70mn Cree conversation CD is an introduction to Plains Cree conversation. It covers 21

different topics of everyday life interactions in a Cree community. From greetings to social gatherings, from school to hunting and

trapping, each phrase is first given in English, then in French, and then in Plains Cree. There is a long enough pause between phrases

to allow you to repeat what you have heard.

INTRODUCTION

Ce Manuel de conversation accompagne le CD de conversation crie par les mêmes auteures. Le contenu total du CD est

transcrit ici, avec des notes et des titres additionnels. Le code de couleur suivant a été utilisé: anglais, français, cri des plaines.

Notes au sujet du CD audio : 21 sujets d'interactions de la vie quotidienne dans une communauté crie y sont abordés. Des

salutations aux réunions sociales, en passant par l'école et la chasse, chaque expression est donnée d'abord en anglais, puis en français,

puis en cri des plaines. Une pause suffisante entre les expressions vous permet de répéter ce que vous avez entendu.
