Language/Word Study• Spelling & Language-Imbedded within all

areas of the Reading and Writing Workshop!-Pretest on Monday, test on Friday for those who

did not pass the pretest. Assess the transfer of spelling within daily writing.

• Vocabulary-Imbedded within read alouds, guided reading, and all content areas.

Mathematics• Implementation of our new curriculum Math In

Focus…we will be learning together! (Handout with information on your child’s desk.)

• Piloted the program last year-had very positive experiences and outcomes for ALL students.

• Teachers will continue to have Math in Focus PD throughout the year to work through the effective implementation of the new curriculum.
