Curtains are very low maintenance + easy to keep clean. To maintain + preserve the life span of your curtains regular dusting + vacuuming is recommended. Also refer to the care label instructions supplied with every curtain.

To extend the life of your curtains a high quality lining fabric is recommended to not only provide insulation but to protect your curtains, + the rest of your interiors, from sun damage.

For a decorative finish or pop of colour our decorator team can add banding + trims across the top, bottom or sides of your curtains.

Opt for a coordinating fabric for a more subtle finish or for a bolder statement use a contrast fabric. Pairing sheer + heavier weight fabrics together is also a beautiful way to add texture + visual interest.

Our banding is perfect for rooms with very tall ceilings as by banding another fabric to the top or bottom of the curtain, we can extend the height of the curtains without introducing any additional seams.

For sheer curtains adding banding across the top of the curtain in a heavier fabric can also be used to disguise the wall or top of the blind that may be installed behind.

So where will they finish on the floor? It’s up to you based on what you prefer! As our curtains are custom made we hand craft them to all different lengths however we recommend to go past the window sill to the floor for light control, privacy + insulation purposes (unless the curtains are being installed above a breakfast nook or bench seat!).

There are no “exact” length curtains as fabrics have shrinkage due to environmental factors such as temperature + humidity + will change as much as 3% or more in curtain length. Different fabrics also hang at varying lengths + shapes.

stackingOur curtains can be designed to be centre opening with the curtains stacked on both sides when drawn open or one way opening, left or right stack, with the curtains stacking back to only the one side when drawn open. Curtains can also float freely to draw to any position on your track or rod. It all comes down to what is the most practical + functional design for each window.

Install is either ceiling fit or face (wall) fit. It’s best to go ceiling to floor (or as high as you can go!) if there is wall space for it. This adds the illusion of height to windows + rooms but also added practical benefits as it improves the blockout of light + increases insulation.

select trackingS T E P 5Tracks complete the look of your curtains + our made to measure tracks allow us to custom fit to any size + shape window. Our standard tracking is custom made from high quality powder coated aluminium.

We can mount tracks onto ceilings, arcs or walls, allowing great flexibility.

With single or double tracks, the designs are limitless. Double tracks combine more than one window covering, allowing you to layer sheer curtains beneath blockout curtains + vice versa. This adds interior design aesthetics but also boosts your insulation.

We design custom bent + curved tracks to go around corners, designed exactly to the size + shape required.
