The Need for
Due to the profound technological revolution that is invading our world and the intense competition taking place in all of the markets, companies and organizations of all types and sizes, started seeking techniques that could actually help them manage and organize their daily tasks. Given the fact that employees are the most crucial resource of the company, many companies are investing in developing new sections/departments to manage and organize human resources, these departments -that manage human resources- are utilizing and integrating many techniques to help them manage and organize employees. However, the main issue facing human resources department is the lack of a system, one complete program that covers all the basic aspects of managing and organizing human resources in the company, starting with controlling the employees attendance, passing by tracking the employees who work outside the companys premises and finally ending with the calculation of payrolls and salaries as well as calculating the days off.
Nowadays, countless companies and organizations are utilizing several systems and separate programs to manage its human resources. They are deploying a system for managing employees attendance, which is linked to a huge set of complicated and expensive equipment, especially if companies have many branches and/or have shifts-based system. Moreover, companies are utilizing a whole different system for managing and tracking vehicles (fleet management system) and thats to track external employees who work outside the company like maintenance teams, and salesteam etc. This system is a completely separate system from that of the attendance control system and even the payroll calculating system as well as the performance management system etc.
As a result, it is obvious that all of these systems are becoming rather a complication instead of simplifying managements procedures in the companies. These many systems are considered as hindrances to human resources department and are limiting its ability to accomplish its basic tasks that are bound to enhancing the working environment and following up with employees & developing employees performance.
Indeed, with the huge technological advances, it is absolutely unacceptable to overlook integrating a complete inexpensive and uncomplicated system. Such system is able to cover all the needs and requirements of the human resources department in organizations and companies.
