Dear All Saints Families,

God has done great things for us. As we continue our journey through Lent, let us fo-cus on this and reflect how we can help others the way God has helped us.

Culver’s Night: Stop by Culver’s for dinner tonight and support All Saints.

Lost and Found – is over flowing! We put everything on tables by the school office. Please take a look before or after your conferences (or anytime you are here at school).

Conference Sign-ups: If you have not signed up for conferences, there are still times available on Tuesday, Feb. 23. K-5 Sign-up: www.mysignup.com/ascsconferences MS Sign-up: www.mysignup.com/msconferences If you would like a conference with one of our specialists, please contact them to ar-range a time. You can find their contact information in the staff directory on our website.

Nursery will be available on conference nights from 5:00 pm –7:00 pm. Reserve your spot by emailing [email protected]. One day advance notice is needed.

Nursery for School Masses: Due to low participation, there will not be nursery offered during our school Masses on Friday.

STEM Fair: Did your kids enjoy the field trip to the UofM for the Physics Force show? The signup deadline for the STEM fair has been extended! See attachment for guide-lines for the STEM Fair projects. This year's STEM fair will be held on March 29, 2016, at 6:30pm in Murphy Hall. There's plenty of time to get a project done over Spring Break. Students may work individually or in teams of two. Sign up online here. Contact [email protected] for registration info.

Please consider volunteering to help, many roles are available, from project reviewer (no experience necessary, pizza dinner provided!), to making copies, to photo-graphing the projects. Check out http://vols.pt/YnLWGR to help.

Secondary Email on Cornerstone: We are now able to add a secondary email to re-ceive email blasts. Keep in mind you should continue to forward emails to a second person if you would prefer to filter yourselves which emails should get sent to a sec-ond person. To add a secondary email, contact Lisa Beckstrom at [email protected] with your name and the additional email address . She will be entering them in as time allows and appreciates your patience!

Catholic United Financial Raffle Update: We have collected more than half of our goal: $5,025! Thank you so much to all of you that are buying and selling the raffle tickets! We still have opportunities to sell tickets on Sunday after the 7:30 am, 9:00 am, and 5:30 pm Masses.

Enrollment for 2016-2017: In order for the budget to be prepared, we need enrollment numbers. If you have not yet completed your intent to enroll for the 2016-2017 school year, please do so by Monday, Feb. 22.

All families should have received an email from TADS on Feb. 8 asking you to indicate your intention to enroll for the 2016-2017 school year. If you did not receive the email, please let Lisa Beckstrom know (952-985-9920 or [email protected]) Also, the financial aid application process has begun for the 2016-2017 school year. Applications should be completed online on your TADS account. The deadline for priority consideration for receiving the limited funds available for tuition assistance is March 1, 2016. Below is a re-minder on our Tuition Policy as stated in the Parent Handbook:

Parent(s)/legal guardian(s) are expected to keep the agreement signed for the payment of tuition unless an alternative plan is approved as stated in section 3 above. Tuition must be current by March 1 of each school year. If payment is not current at that time parent(s)/legal guardian(s) will not be allowed to regis-ter their child(ren) for the next school year. If an alternative plan is in effect on March 1, the plan will ad-dress the enrollment of children for the next school year. All tuition must be paid by June 1 to ensure keep-ing a place for your child for the next school year, unless an alternative plan has been worked out ahead of time with the pastor and/or principal.

If your 2015-2016 TADS Tuition account is not up to date, please contact Fr. Wilson or myself before enrolling your student for the 2016-2017 school year.

Morning Athletes: Morning Athletes offers All Saints students the opportunity to enhance skill, improve fitness level, and have fun all before the school bell rings. Upcoming classes include: Fun & Games (Wednesdays 3/2, 3/9, 3/16) and Fitness Fridays (3/4, 3/11, 3/18). Classes take place in Murphy Hall from 7:30-8:00 am. A flyer was sent home in the Thursday folder with more information. Attached is a copy of the flyer and registration form. Sign up soon as space may be limited.

Storybook Character Winners: We had some great book characters walking around the school yester-day! We hope everyone had fun dressing up as their favorite book character. The 100th Day of Kindergarten: Yesterday was the 100th day of kindergarten! What do you do on the 100th day of kindergarten? Mrs. Smith’s class had 100th Day STEM. They counted out 100 of 8 different materials and then got to work with a friend to see what they could build with each of the materials. Each group ended up making something different. 100th Day was so much fun that we didn’t want school to end.

Important Links: For quick access to current events or frequently accessed websites, such as Cornerstone and TADS, you can find quick links to them under the photo shuffle on the home page of our website.

Thank you for Supporting All Saints:

Amazon Smile: We will be receiving $69.24 for the last quarter of 2015 from families going to smile.amazon.com when do their Amazon shopping.

Take Charge of Education: We just received a check for $7,555.

Culver’s: Our year-to-date total from Culver’s Night is $960.

Suggestion Box: Thanks for your input! As they come in, we will discuss them at the SAC meetings or, if ap-plicable, address them with the school staff.

Update to Calendar Suggestion: Reducing the size of the year-at-a-glance calendar, which would reduce the number of activities we could put on the calendar, was discussed at the February SAC meeting. The SAC members expressed they preferred to have as much as possible on the calendar since they print it off and post it up at home to help them keep informed about what is going on at school. As I mentioned earlier, if you are having a difficulties printing it off on a 8 1/2 X 11 sheet, please call Chris in the school office.

Reminders:

Aluminum Can Drive, February 27, 9:00 am-1:00 pm: Save your cans! Also, we are in need of more volun-teers! Please fill out the volunteer request that was in last week’s Thursday folder, or email Chris in the school office at [email protected].

Art News: Spring is an eventful time for us artists here at All Saints! In March, the Lakeville Arts Center is hosting its Youth Art Exhibit. Two students from each grade will be chosen to have a piece of their art-work on display in the exhibit. The deadline for submissions is February 25.

In May, we will be having our own Art Exhibit here at All Saints. All students are encouraged to enter a work of art. For both of these events, I am accepting artwork that has either been made in class or that students have made on their own. Please encourage your children to bring in their works of art so we can show Lakeville how creative we are! Bring all artwork to Ms. Elling in the Commons, room 9A.

Lakeville Jazz Fest: On Monday, February 22, the All Saints Jazz Band have a wonderful opportuni-ty. They will be participating in the Lakeville Jazz Fest at Lakeville South High School. The Jazz Fest will feature 4 middle school jazz bands and the North and South High School Jazz Bands. The concert starts at 7:00 p.m. This is the first year All Saints is participating so we are eagerly preparing some awesome music to entertain the other bands and the crowd. Please come support All Saints if you are available that evening.

Many Blessings,

Carol Margarit
